Just wondering what kind of food is good and not good to eat before my ET which is on Wednesday? I don’t drink caffeine at all no white bread no chocolate and sugar no fizzy drink. Don’t know what else should I do? I’ll do anything that it works ,so scared of losing my embryo after transfer. thanks love you all xxx

Hi Anna, sounds like you're doing well already 😊 Apparently pineapple and Brazil nuts are good for implantation, also read somewhere that avocado is good for womb lining. None of this is really proven though, so I suggest just eating well, and avoid processed food if you can help it. You want your body & the baby to be getting healthy nourishment. Good luck with your ET, it's a lot more gentle than EC xx
Thanks Lilli79! I didn’t know pineapple is good actually I thought it’s bad! I’ll do it under sedation so hopefully won’t feel anything. Thanks again xx
Yep, just don't go overboard on the pineapple! Too much is bad, but a small bowl every day is fine. There is more of the bromelain enzyme in the core, but there's still some in the fleshy bit too. Oh and forgot to say, make sure you get enough protein, good building blocks for cell development - eggs are good (unless you're vegan like me!) 😊
They suggest eating pineapple including the core for 5 days after transfer. Agreed Brazil nuts are good and keep your feet warm apparently it helps keep your uterus warm to xx
I would start the afternoon/evening of your transfer. Just buy a small pineapple and cut it into 5 sections, make sure they all have the core in as that’s the important bit xx
Hi Anna, I have my transfer on Wednesday too- it’s so scary isn’t it. How are you finding the pessaries? I’m so bloated! Today has been the most nervous I have felt and worried that the embryos won’t make it to day 5. There is different anxieties with each stage isn’t there. I’ve heard pineapple plus core, beetroot, foods high in iron and protein and lots of water. Xxx
Oh really! So we’re the same! Pessaries are ok better than injections haha I do them rectaly as I told not very bloated!does it mean it doesn’t work properly? I know I was the same with my embryos when they called as some of them were weak. Exactly every single stage had it own anxieties. Yard every body said pineapple from ET day for 5 days,I’ll do it for sure. Good luck for Wednesday let me know after you’ve done it 🤞🏻Xxx
Yes I know. We had ten fertilised and now they say we have some really good quality ones and 1 ok one and the rest are not growing a lot so it’s a wait and see game. Every time they phone it seems the numbers just dwindle and dwindle. I’m amazingly grateful to have what we have don’t get me wrong... I’m just worrying today about them! You said your clinic sedate you for the transfer? Wish mine did! X
As E_05 says above eating pineapple including the core for 5 days after transfer, also Brazil or walnuts around half a dozen each day. I opted for walnuts my 3rd cycle because I had sickened myself with Brazil nuts 😂
Can’t think of anything else, sounds like your doing all you can already! 👍
That’s great your ET is Wednesday, hopefully you’ll be feeling a good bit better by then.
I probably wouldn’t go mad changing your diet at this stage. Just stick to eating clean and stay off the caffeine. My acupuncturist told me to eat warm food, not to eat ice cream or drink cold drinks (have your water at room temp) and keep my feet and lower back warm. It’s all about keeping the uterus warm and keeping blood flowing in that direction.
Wishing you so much luck. I’m hoping to get to ET on Friday so we’ll be waiting together xx
Yes, the warm food thing is true and I believe this. Very cold food can upset the balance of your chi (essentially upsets your circulation). Warm belly, back and feet also a must! ❤️
Thanks Dunla for the tips! It’s so scary I just wan do things right so scared of losing my embryo😔 wish you the best of luck! hope everything goes well for us and we’ll be waiting that never ending 2weeks together xxx
Hi Anna, I will also have my ET next Wednesday and it's the first time I'm doing FET (I had 2 failed IVF's last year) and I am hoping it goes well for you
I have been reading about different things I can do this time (as we all are ahaha) and I stumbled upon this blog (she also did FET) and she posted good foods tips & menu ideas for the 2WW and the types of food that help implantation:
