Hi all,

This is my first cycle and all felt like it was heading in the right direction and not so much of an ordeal I had thought it was going to be. I’ve now had my egg collection and feel completely wrecked. Ive been vomiting the last two days, I have diarrhoea (tmi) trapped wind and I’m in so much pain from the cramping not to mention the new intramuscular injections I am having to take daily are giving me a dead leg - is this all normal? And when will I start to feel myself again my husband is great but I’m starting to feel really down about this whole process. I just feel so alone and it’s stsrting to get on top of me.

Any ways anyone can recommend to help me with any of the above?

Have you spoken to the clinic about how you’re feeling? I didn’t have any of those symptoms, best to get checked out or reassurance from them as you don’t want to be having OHSS. What intramuscular injections are you taking? I only had to do them once but now on lubion through stomach. How many eggs did you have collected and how many fertilised? Hopefully some good news from the clinic will cheer you up. You’ll soon be having a transfer and hopefully be pregnant so try and do some meditation or mindfulness to make you feel more positive and focused. Talk to your partner. You’ve been through a lot. It’s an emotional and physical journey. Be kind to yourself. Your feelings are normal and justified xxx

Thanks so much for the support Scarlett and your kind words. I’m on progesterone injections I think I have read that you can get suppositories so I am going to request them when I am next at the clinic for my egg transfer.

I had 15 eggs 12 of which where good ones and 9 have fertilised and my transfer in on Saturday. It’s just a waiting game now. Fingers crossed all goes well. I’m hoping it’ll all be worth it if and am trying to focus on the end result. I think yesterday was just a really awful emotional day. X

I prefer doing a lubion injection a day to 3 pessaries a day, hate the pessaries and always came on my period early with them so back on lubion now. You’ve got great numbers! Good luck for Saturday, hope you end up with some to freeze x

You need to drink loads of water and make sure that similar is leaving your body too.

If you had a general for collection, then some people can react like this, but I would call the clinic, even if it’s their emergency out of hours numbers to double check as it might be ohss

Hi.. I felt horrendous the day of EC and was vomiting. However I improved each day after that. If you're still bring sick I would call the clinic to check for ohss. And make sure you are drinking lots of fluids xo
