Hi there, this is my first time writing on here...
we have been trying to conceive for about 3 years and finally got the call for ivf in October last year and started on 1st January, everything went well and we were pretty lucky that we got BFP on our first round and everything seemed to be going well until yesterday when we had our scan, the nurse originally couldn’t find anything there so went to get another nurse to come and have a look and she found a tiny little fetus only measuring 3.6mm with a really slow heart beat 😓 we have to go back in 2 weeks time for another scan but feeling really devastated about it all as going by the nurses faces it doesn’t look like it’s going to be a good outcome.
Just wondering if anyone else has went through this and have had a happy ending or should I prepare myself for the worst.

Oh hun I’m not surprised you’re worried. All you can do though is wait and see (which I’m sure everyone keeps telling you!). I’ve read about them catching up size wise in future scans so I’m hoping this will happen for you too xxx
I’ve just come back home from a 6w 6d scan, and all they can see is a dark area that measures the size of a 4 week embryo. There’s no egg sack or heartbeat 😔 I’ve got to be re-scanned in 10 days, but I’m not holding out much hope. Absolutely gutted. This is our sixth go at ICSI/IVF and the furthest we’ve ever got so I’d got my hopes up! Hope your little embryo keeps soldiering on 👊🏻
Aww I’m so sorry to read this, big hugs to you too 😓 it’s so hard when you think you have done it for it to be taken away just like that! I really hope it is good news when you go back 🙏 x
I am exactly in the same place ( should be 8 week by IVaf calculations but the EPU is measuring me on 6 week) fetal pole 3.7mm heart beat 96 and another two weeks wait - I feel very tired it was going so well my Christmas was a disaster and NY I decided to spend in bed
