2WW it’s all over

Prayingforafamily profile image

My test date is Wednesday but started spotting on Saturday with AF pains and full bleed on Saturday. Care said to still test Wednesday but had an old test which I decided to try today and it’s a bfn. We are devastated. I didn’t think you could get af on progesterone as it keeps ur lining in place, is there something wrong with me that this happened? Feeling heartbroken as all was going really well.

I’m so sorry hun but still hoping for the best for you. I’m pretty sure on my transfer day the consultant said I may start my period before the test day but either way make sure I still test on that day. So it doesn’t sound like anything at all is wrong with you. Please don’t blame yourself.

Sending you positive thoughts, love and hugs xx

Hi Alexbaines. So sorry to hear this, but unfortunately you still should test on Wednesday too. I realise that it's probably rubbing salt into the wounds, but your clinic will want an official test. I don't know whether you have any embryos stored frozen, but here's hoping you have. Yes, you can still have a bleed using the pessaries, but for some reason this time you didn't make enough progesterone yourself. The pessaries are just for support. Thinking of you. Diane

Thanks Diane for your support and advice. X

So sorry to read this. I guess the clinic just want to ensure they cover all bases. And if you had two embryos transferred definitely.

Big hugs, but don't reach for the wine yet xx

Can test really change in 2 days? I’m 11pt5dt and the test I did had no test line at all, I would if thought maybe a slight one by now? I will stick to my ribena until then xx

Tests can change overnight and morning to night. Having a bleed is never great but the clinic, and you, will want to be 100% certain. Was it a fresh or frozen transfer? X

It was a fresh transfer. We are blessed to have a frozen embryo too but I am 40 so really hoped as just one more shot is so much pressure. However I know a lot of ppl are not as fortunate so we really do feel blessed we have that chance.

Wow, that's great that you have a frosty too. Really hope it works out this time but if not, a frozen transfer is much easier on all x

Thanks.xxx
