It’s all over

Hi ladies. Today I’m adding to the number of BFNs recently. I’m gutted-was at work giving a course all day and hadn’t been thinking about it (unusually!) and at first coffee break-there it was -AF. I’d resisted testing up to now and was sure it might have been our time as was getting nausea and no sign of any bleed.

But then I had to come out and continue giving the course for the rest of the day, pretend everything was ok and listen and answer their questions when all I wanted to do was curl up in a ball and cry (which is what I’m now doing in the privacy of my hotel). I’m away from home at the moment and have to take the course again tomorrow so can’t even get a hug from hubby.

So upset and frustrated-thinking any signs were positive and this would be our time. I’m devastated 😢

Aww... if I could give you a big hug, I would! It’s a truly rubbish time. My official testing today was today, but I knew on the weekend that it hadn’t worked. I’m so proud of you getting through the day, you’re a strong person 💕 xx

It is Cinderella. It’s so unfair we all have to go through this rollercoaster journey. Next time will be my time (I hope!)

This is just awful - I feel so terrible for you being away from home while this is going on as well. What an amazing thing to come out and continue with the rest of your day to keep things normal for everyone else - truly inspiring. Wishing you all the best for now and the future xxx

Thanks Penright. I’m just gutted and I think it’s so hard knowing that you can’t just get going again immediately. I think it’s probably in all our natures to think how we can fix it and what we can do differently. So yes-will dust myself off and have another go and hope for a different outcome next time. Thanks for your kind words. The support on here really helps through the tough days.x

in reply toSharonl75

Yes, the support here has been a godsend. I'd have fallen apart without it (I very nearly did!). I hope you cope ok in the coming days. Getting that long awaited hug from your hubby will help, and take a little time to fall apart if that's what you need to do. Letting those tears flow is such an important part of the healing process. Sending you lots of love xxx

Thanks Katrina. Just to know there are like minded people on this group who understand the stresses and journey we all go through helps. People who don’t go through this can never really understand the emotional rollercoaster this is and the toll on our poor bodies.x

Thanks emu2016. It’s so tough-today was my OTD but as I was away we’d decided to wait until Thursday morning when we’d both be together. Unfortunately that was wishful thinking. Can’t wait to get home and get a big hug!! Thanks for replying.x

Can't believe the timing of your AF. Well done for being brave and having to carry on when you'd much rather be at home with your hubby. I was away on my own when my AF came last time too - it was awful. So sad. I really feel for you. Hope you find the strength to pick yourself up and try again when you're ready xxx

Oh no, AF is bad enough at the best of times but to get this result whilst on your own is the worst. Hopefully today's course will pass quickly & you can get home to hubby xx

I’m so sorry. I think your attitude is inspiring so positive- wish I was more like that. Take care and re group yourselves when it’s less raw xoxo

Thanks everyone for your comments. Now on the train back home (slightly later than planned as walked out and left my laptop behind, was on the train when I realised and had to get off the train to go back and collect it so will be home an hour later than planned!) obviously my brain is fried!!

Looking forward to getting back home, having a cry with hubby and picking ourselves back up ready to face the next round as soon as we can! (Times not on my side unfortunately ☹️)

Thank you all again for your kind words of comfort. It really helps so much to get through those dark and challenging times and know we’re not alone in this journey. Good luck to you all. I wish we could all have our dreams of motherhood come true. Maybe some day....xxx
