Gonal f - follicle size ?

Can anyone advise what is the ideal amount of follicles to have and what size ??

I’m on Gonal f 225 daily and have been for 5 days ? Scanned today and I have 6 follicles the largest being 14.3mm ! I have been told to continue with injections and rescan on Friday .

When I was having my scans they were looking for at least 3 follicles measuring 18mm or more before egg collection. Hope all goes well for you xx

Hoping for some improvement on Friday , I have a Low AMH so wasn’t expecting high number at all xxx

In my consultation they told me that they do EC when they see a good amount of follicles (whatever that means) with the lead follicle over 18mm. So consistent with the comments above.

I think it is dependent on you- there’s no universal ideal in terms of how many. They make a judgement based on when you look as though you’re going to have the most follicles if the right size.

Hello, just seen your post. I wanted to ask you what size follicles did you have and how many for the EC ? I am on gonal f 225 and clinic is waiting to see my follicles reach 18mm. Currently I have 3 on 16mm and few others at various sizes. Hence wanted to get your thoughts...

Hi there !

I think my biggest was 18mm and some others trailing not far behind ! Sorry I can’t remember what size exactly !

However I only got 4 eggs at collection - 2 fertilised and I’m currently 7 weeks 3 days pregnant 🤰 😊 xxx
