Looking for a black or mix race egg donor

Hi all,

I am new to this wonderful network. I hope to fine a solution to my fertility problem here and will be more than happy to share ideas or information.

I am 43, My husband and I are both blacks and we desperately need an egg donor from black African Caribbean or mix race. I have a very low ovarian reserve. We have tried most of the fertility clinics in the UK but they can't help us because they have no black egg in their storage.

Can any one help please

Welcome to the forum. Here you will find lots of support from many ladies who are unfortunately going on their own long and very often painful journeys. There are very very few people on here who join to donate however what you may find is support from people who have been on a similar journey.

I cannot help per sey but if you use the search function you will be able to find historical posts which may be helpful. I am sure there were some not that long ago. Also, your clinic should be able to give you advice too.

I know a friend who was looking for a Jewish donor and went to the London women’s clinic (I think that’s what it’s called) and has had sperm shipped from America so I’m thinking they may offer a broader range of donors? If you’ve already tried there how about contacting a clinic abroad and arranging to have eggs shipped?

I used clinics in South Africa. We were self funding so were not restricted on where we could go.

Am looking at options to go abroad as well for egg donation but I wanted to see if I could get a solution here in the UK. Thanks alot

I found the process relatively easy. There are many clinics which import eggs from abroad, and can help black women like us. I'll PM you a clinic that can help you.

Have u found a clinic doing treatment with black donor egg, bc I have found one and am already in contact with them and am going there soon

The problem now is I don't know how to pm since am new in this forum.

Hi siyami12 welcome have you iver though about trying ivf clinic abroad i only say this because i whent to Greece and i need a sperm donor as i am a single person and they matched me with what i need and thay do the same with egg doners and you would probably have more luck than the uk if you would like to know anything more just let me know happy to help all the best xxx

Siyami12 maybe ask your clinic if thay can put you in touch with the egg doner last of as a clinic out side the uk to put you in touch with the egg doner last to help you find a mash for you xx all the best x
