Sick from medication?

Is it normal to be sick after pulling trigger? I have had nausea the whole duration of stims which the clinic said was normal side effects from medication.

We did buserelin trigger last night and have just woken up throwing up. I haven’t been feeling right the last couple of days, sore throat/flu like symptoms so I didn’t know if it was that or side effects from drugs. I am high risk of OHSS but egg collection isn’t till Monday so can you get ohss before then?

Sorry to hear you have been unwell. What bad timing! I think all hormones affect people differently. Have you still got the leaflet from the trigger box? The info in there should say if vomiting is a possible side effect. I haven’t had OHSS but I remember they said to watch out for severe bloating, pains, feeling feint and sickness. Are you still being sick? You could always call 111 (if you are in UK) for advice. They arrange out of hours appointments for you if needed. If you were just sick once With none of the other symptoms, i imagine it’s not too much to worry about especially as you have been ill with other hormones, but it never hurts to check. The last few days before my last EC I really struggled too. I wasn’t actually sick but I did feel rough, I honestly felt like I was coming down with a cold; achy, stuffy, headachey, sore throat and I was so drained. Miraculously after EC I felt so much better, sore, but my “cold” cleared up. I too was at high risk of ohss and had 19 eggs collected. Take some paracetamol for the aches and pains and drink lots and lots of fluids. Mention your side effects tomorrow and good luck xx

I was also feeling sick after my trigger injection but only few hours. Doctor also told me that I might be overstimulated but I’ve had my egg collection on Friday and nobody mentioned anything since then.

You can get Ohss after egg collection after collection to. Scary but don’t think about it much drink plenty of water.

Hey bless you not sound nice. I’ve taken my trigger last night and feel v rough and bit sick but not sick. Think def can be a side effect unfort. Got my EC tomorrow too. Def felt rough for last few days too due to high hormones. Am guessing it all relating. Def maybe worth checking with clinic. Otherwise not long to go then hopefully be a bit better well soon it will be. Best wishes for tomorrow xx
