Little bit of advice

I’m 26, and we have one healthy looking embryo and another that’s a little more advanced than it should be,

Hospital want to do a 3 day transfer so going in today but need to decided to put both or 1 back in, husband is concerned of risks with a twin pregnancy so really unsure what to do?

Any advice lady’s? Hospital just say my decision xx

Hi Gem

Do you know how to search on here? There have been several threads which you will find useful. Myself I have transferred one and two. On balance I decided last time to do one. For many reasons. Mostly to be able to focus my positivity and nutrients on one, to have another to try in future, and also for medical reasons - so many things can go wrong with twins.

Good luck, but it's totally something that everyone has to make their own mind up about. X

I did one on my first transfer and that failed.... but there is a reason why it would have failed as I had liquid in my tube. I then had an op and on my second cycle I put 2 back and that cycle was a success with one baby. It’s a hard decision but I thought I’ve got twice the chance of success if I put 2 in..... good luck xx

I had one put back in as we have identical twins in the family.

My neighbour however had two low quality blasts put in as they didn't think either would stick. Both did. Although overjoyed she gave birth early at 30 weeks with the babies staying in hospital for a while.

Practical implications, it's no longer viable for her to work due to the cost of childcare so that's made the choice for her. Her and her husband haven't slept in the same room since the babies were home for a week as they set each other off in the night. It's put extreme pressure on the relationship and i know whilst overjoyed she feels very trapped.

She's also said things like the cost of having to buy two of everything And logistics of getting twins out of the house make her just want to stay in all the time. I hadn't even thought of the practicalities like its easy to get one cot in a hotel room but two? Eek

Thank you! Yes we decided to have the 2, if we didn’t it wasn’t going to be frozen so was jus to precious to throw away so now have to embryos safely in side and fingers crossed the 2ww won’t take to long in coming round xx
