A little bit worried - not sure what to do

So I’m a little bit scared.. I took a pregnancy test tonight and it has come out positive clear blue says 2-3 weeks.

The problem is I have had really bad cramps like waves of pain, that make me gasp and feels like period pain or trapped wind, which I put down to my period being due after taking my 10 days of provera and I also had some spotting yesterday. The cramping pain has reminded me of first miscarriage, but tends to happen when I change position from sitting to standing etc. My boobs are also really sore, like touch them and they hurt sore.

I know there’s nothing I can do about it either way but I’m not sure what to do next. I’ve had two miscarriages this year. The last one was in June and the epu gave me cyclogest to take once I found out I was pregnant. So should I take it now? I’m worried that it’s going to end so there’s no point!

I’m worried that it’s going to go wrong, this is a complete surprise as I didn’t I would be pregnant as I normally have to take clomid so I have no idea how many weeks I should be either as the last lot of bleeding I had was 9 weeks ago! I’m so annoyed at myself for taking a test now! But i knew something was up!

Sorry this is a really rambling post! 😢

Thank you all. I’m going to use my cyclogest tonight and see what happens. I won’t be able to ring my clinic until Wednesday as I’m in meetings all day at work tomorrow and won’t get time to ring I don’t think, so I will see what they say then. I would go to the epu but I think it’s way to early and my gp is crap and usually just says there’s nothing they can do 🙄 and that I don’t need to come in.

I’m just so surprised, I really didn’t think I could get pregnant on my own! Xx

As long as you have enough cyclogest for a couple of days. If not, I would take 5 minutes during meeting comfort break to call the clinic or email them.

Xxx

Yeah I’ve got 30 days worth. Thanks. I would call them during a break but I’ll work myself up into a state so I’m trying to hold off till I’m on my own lol. Xxx

I had this in pregnancy too, only early pregnancy up until 12 weeks. The pain was low down and o felt like I would come on any second then it would completely go. I believe this is normal, good luck xx

Congratulations!! I know you are worried about the cramping, but try not to be. I had some quite severe cramping at 5 weeks, when I rolled over or stood up too quickly in particular. I think this was little embryo digging deeper. I’m now nearly 29 weeks with a little baby boy!

Mine was a natural pregnancy between ivf cycles and so I didn’t take any drugs, not even cyclogest, so I’d be inclined to wait to speak to your clinic before self administering any drugs. Do try to call the clinic today, despite work. This is more important Xx

That’s reassuring to know 😊 I’m hoping that’s what it is. X

First of all congratulations on positive test and I am really sorry for your losses - I had a chemical pregnancy last year & it’s so cruel & devastating.

Definitely take cyclogest. I was put on cyclogest whilst pregnant & will be the next time I’m pregnant for 12 weeks.

I think twinges are common in pregnancy but can understand your worry & know I would be the same.

All the best with your pregnancy hope this is your rainbow baby 🌈✨❤️ xoxo

Thanks. I think I’m always going to worry slightly just because if that’s happened. It’s such a shame that something so happy can be made so stressful. Sorry to hear about your chemical. X

Hi blinky,

I know how you feel with the whole m/C thing. I myself have had a still born and a miscarriage but I just want to send you a bit of hope..... I'm now 14w3d pregnant!!.... and even at the start of this pregnancy I started spotting at 5w1d and didn't stop spotting until 10w2d... I then bled at 13w4d and have had numerous scans and bambino is absolutely perfect.....

I would take that cyclogest for sure, you have a positive! And surely it's better to start it and know you did everything you could rather than wondering what if?

Good luck for your pregnancy hun.... congratulations x

Than you! Congratulations on your pregnancy too and sorry to hear about your losses.

I’ve taken the cyclogest as everything I’ve read says that it won’t harm the baby and I’m going by the advice of the fertility dr on call at the epu. X
