I’ve never joined any forum before so I’m just gonna give it a try. Hi everyone, I’m 41 yrs and TTC for 4 years. Just had a third and last round of ivf. It’s 6 days after I transferred a day3 embryo. I can’t quite get the correct abbreviations yet!. I started bleeding heavily yesterday morning with really bad cramps. Today is the second day of bleeding but no more cramps. Still have one more week before my scheduled blood test. I dunno whats happening, gonna see the doc tomo. They told me to double my crinone gel. I just can’t imagine my little embryo is still in there with all this bleeding. I’m gutted and feeling so down. I just want this entire phase of my life to be over. 😪

Hi everyone
I can understand your situation. It's okay to feel this way. I can really relate to your experience. TTC can be so frustrating. That doesn't look good, sadly. I would suggest you visit your doctor. Get a professional opinion. I hope things get better for you. You shouldn't give up so easily, though. I know, you've gone for three IVFs. However, what if the next time could be it for you? If you can afford it, I would suggest another shot. It's important to stay in contact with your doctor. You will have a better idea of what's wrong. Good luck to you, hun. Here's to praying you feel better and get a BFP.
Im so sorry to hear this. Ive had this happen twice and it is so heartbreaking! Unfortunately I dont have any success stories but just wanted to say Im thinking about you! Hugs.xx
Thx for replying to me! Did the doctor explain why the early heavy bleeding or period in your previous cases?
They told me to carry on with medication and still test. I suspected my progesterone levels were too low but they wouldnt test and just sort of dissed the idea.....that was on the NHS. Once I hit my private clinic I explained my past and suspicions and they have me on high levels of progesterone now which of course stops the bleeding but hasnt helped me achieve pregnancy.xx
I’m sorry for your experience too. It’s so frustrating when the doctors who you are suppose to trust 100% don’t seem to really look at each case individually but instead just go thru the motions. Good luck on your journey too and thx for talking to me. Means a lot xx
I am really sorry to read this. I hope things get better. Trying saying positive and strong. I am in the same boat as yours, therefore, I can understand how everything feels. We are starting with IVF again really hoping it works. This time we have changed the doctor in the hope that the new one will help us out. Good luck to you. Visit your doctor as soon as possible.
How was the bleed? I mean did you spot any different than your usual AF, less or light colour or without the clots more dried like etc. If you have a regular one you'll probably be able to spot the difference easily, everyone knows their own pattern.
Well it sounds like you're still in the timeline suitable for a IB but then you can never say for sure unless the pregnancy test confirms it. The heavy bleeding certainly overrules the chance of it being pregnant. But I'm leaving it in doubts considering often in these situations the heavy bleeding is not correctly estimated or even if being 41 you don't get regular bleed to know your present pattern. I heard a lot of women claim their IB was more of a regular bleed but only shot... so volume isn't the only thing to consider. You'll have to look for another day if the bleeding fades away and thereafter check on HPT if you still feel pregnant or the symptoms says so. Hope it's the BFP!
Apologies in advance if it’s TMI ! It was a whole range of bleeding, starting with pink spots right at the beginning, which then became dark red and brownish towards the end of the first day. The second day was even heavier but with some transparency sometimes and red clots other times. Today it’s the third day and still dark red and clotting. If i had to conclude it’s like my period but much crazier😟 in fact normally I start to lighten up by third day but it doesn’t seem the case now. Hope I get some answers at doc today either way. Thanks for your input Katty xx
I am so sorry for what you have been through. You need to stay strong. If you are strong and healthy everything will work out eventually. Just make sure you are following your doctor's instructions. Good luck! Stay blessed!
