Does anyone know when having a csection do they have to cut into the endometrium. I know scarring is common with csection I was wondering is it similar to myomectomy ?

Open myo in comparison to csection ?
Hi, I had a myomectomy about 12 years ago. I was told it was exactly the same procedure as a c-section xx
That’s what I thought scarring of the uterus must be quite common after csection but when I asked the nurse yesterday she said can be different ?
How random. I was told that scarring and risk of MC carriage etc was similar if not the same to a c section.. so I was likely to have to have a c section rather than a natural birth as womb could be slightly weaker in that area - much like it seems (and I am not a qualified medic!!) that women who have had one c section tend to have another.
I have a 10 inch scar across my abdomen... so assume I have a similar sized scar on my uterus. My gynaecologist didnt seem overly concerned about pregnancy though and last time I saw him he said 'I dont want to see you again until you come round to introduce me to your baby'... l was experiencing infertility at the time and wondering whether my fibroids, previous surgery etc were an issue. He didn't seem fussed about any of it! x
That’s the same information I had too, that I’d need a csection but not that myomectomy scarring was any worse than csection. She said yes but with csection you don’t cut through endometrium?! But surely you do to get the baby out ? I’m so confused ! My surgeon didn’t seem too worried and discharged me saying we hope to see you with a baby in the future, but the clinic has made it sound so much worse ! There’s about a cm of scarring x
My ivf clinic hardly gave it a moments thought so hopefully you just had an overly pessimistic person!! xx
