Awww thank you lovely, I just don't feel like this is going to happen for us 😏 I want to try again with private clinic as all 3 NHS clycles failed but not sure which is the best as there are so many out there and they are all so expensive wouldn't mind paying if I knew it would work?

Have you been told you have poor egg quality? Its all so sad that this has to happen to so many of us 😔 we always seem to be in the same boat 😞 sending hugs xx

I shall also see what people say to you, as egg quality is also the suspect for our 4 failed IVFs. Hope some people have had a happy outcome and able to share their experience to inspire hope 💗

Hey,I had 1failed cycle with what they said was midium egg quality but it didn’t work. So when I was told my egg quality this time was poor than the previous ones.i just went for them anyway n they both took. Until now they are confused how it worked. And this time we used primovision that looked at the eggs through out when they were in the lab without being moved. I don’t kno if that made any difference but it worked. I transferred on day 3. The failed cycle we transferred on day 5. I think day 3 has better chances than day 5. :) I hope that helps

Hello, I had a cycle last September and only got two eggs, only one was good enough to do icsi and it didn’t even fertilize. Was told the egg was average but no point trying again as outcome would be the same and to move to donor eggs. (First ever ivf/icsi by the way so I wasn’t believing this and going to jump straight to DE) we’ve moved clinics and I’ve been trying everything to better my egg quality since last October. I’m taking dhea, ubiquinol, pre natals, vit D, inositol, wheat grass, fish oils and pro biotic. I don’t know wher I get the time to take them all ...😣 I also do acupuncture weekly. Eat healthy and try get in exercise. I’ve also giving up smoking (I was a social smoker) but I’ve completely giving up now and hoping all this will make the difference for our next cycle in feb. It’s so expensive so this will probably our last try ☹️☹️☹️

Hello I’ve been reading a book called “starts with the egg” by rebecca Fett and is about improving egg quality.

One of the things it suggests is reducing phthalates - a chemical found in certain plastics ie food containers, cosmetics, personal care products like hairspray and nail polish, and weirdly receipts.

There is mention of vitamin supplements, Ubiquinol helps to give the eggs “energy” to do their stuff when it comes to it.

Haven’t finished the book yet, but no harm trying some of these..

Oh yeah and more superfoods, beans, quinoa, lentils veg etc..

I got told after my NHS attempts that we had poor egg quality although we got told this at the very start due to being 38 which made me feel like a geriatric and I thought it was cruel. We did manage to get 3 blastocysts from our rounds but no BFP. At review we were told we had around a 5% chance of success to try again and this seemed far too low....we opted to move to donor eggs and it looks like they may have been correct about my eggs as we got 6 blastocysts from our first cycle. Still working on getting that BFP but at least we have a better chance of success. Have you tried things to improve your egg quality such as DHEA & Ubiquinol? You may or may not be ready to look at DE but its worth considering.xx

There is very little that can be done to improve egg quality. IMO the best way forward would be stim to get as many eggs as possible (without risking OHSS ), around 15 , then have PGS (pre-implantation genetic screening) on the embryos. Studies show that all ages the chances of finding that one good egg increases with the number of eggs collected.

It is very expensive and you run the risk of having no euploid (with correct number of chromosomes ‘) embryos but saves the heartbreak of transfers which will inevitably miscarry. It’s no guarantee but improves the chances.

I know a couple who had the 4 failed attempts including a termination for aneuploidy and another EC that produced only one poor quality embryo. They were told that due to poor egg quality they would have to go to DE. They changed to a top London clinic which carried out the protocol as above . They had two egg collections there which produced 37 eggs

( In the previous clinic only 7 in total) They are now pg with 9 euploid frozen for later.

Wishing you the best of luck x

Ive had 3 cycles of ivf and never had a bfp but I think that's down to me carrying the c4m2 gene. At my last follow up I was told that I need to move to DE as my egg quality is not good. I just don't get how in the space of 10 months I go from getting 6 eggs to 2 eggs and then 6 months after that,1 egg! The quality of my eggs on my first cycle were so much better even getting a top quality blastocyst. For my last cycle I was taking dhea, ubiquinol, royal jelly, vit d, ate healthy, I cut out caffeine, lost a stone in weight, had a scratch and that cycle was my worst of them all. I'm not ready to give up on my eggs so we are having a little breather from ivf and I'm actually going to try clomid again where I will inject clexane which I'm prescribed for the c4m2. I was put on top dose meds for my last 2 cycles and I'm certain that impacted on my egg quality whereas my consultant says the passage of time is the cause of my egg quality deteriorating. I am following to see what responses you get. Good luck with your journey xx

I had 3 failed cycles of ICSI and was advised that we should move onto DE. We had to do 1 more cycle with my eggs because of the finance package we took. I started using DHEA and COQ10 Ubiquonol which gave me a lovely egg and blastocyst. That blastocyst is now called Kirsty and she is 4 days old 😍😍😍

My first failed ICSI cycle was put down to poor egg quality, I was advised to take DHEA and coq10 for my second cycle which i did as well as having my medication changed. I was told that my egg quality was pretty much the same as the first round, but I got 3 blasts. 2 transferred on my fresh cycle did not stick, but had my FET from my only frostie over Christmas and got BFP this week!
