Combined pill

Hi I don’t know who else to say this to out of the communities I have joined but I recently started the combined pill on the. 15 th December and I am currently 8 days late for having my period is it because I am on the pill or something else

Possible I was on feanolla mini progesterone only pill no breaks no periods was fabulous. No periods on depo or implant either.

Do a pregnancy test to be sure.

Hi....

Sorry, I'm confused - if you started on 15th December and are still taking the pill (as its usually taken for 3 weeks?) then you won't be on your period until you come off the pill during your 7 day break between pill packs. It can take a couple days once you've come off the pill.

If you didn't start the pill on day 1 of your last period then you have changed your natural cycle and the pill will determine when your next 'withdrawal bleed' is.

You don't get actual periods on pills as you don't ovulate - it's just a withdrawal bleed to mimic your natural cycle

As gcw104 says some women take the pill continuously with no breaks and have no bleeds at all in between
