Hi all, I wondered if someone could help answer a question. We will need our eggs freezing for a couple of weeks (hopefully we will have some) for genetic testing and I wondered someone could tell me how long the process is to get ready for implantation post egg removal?
Thanks in advance! x

For me a frozen egg transfer was day 2 of period start estrogen until day 9/10 when you get your lining scan. If it’s good, I think they like above 9mm I continued to take estrogen until day 12 then started progesterone and estrogen. If a three day transfer I took it for3 days or 5 days if 5 day transfer then continued on both until results. Good luck xx
Hi I’ve had two natural frozen embryo transfers where they just do scan and blood on day 12 then transfer the embryo on around day 19. They’re now putting me on a stimulated cycle starting on day 21 (because they’re having trouble pin pointing when I’m going to ovulate) where I have to inject myself every evening for 4 weeks and also have oestrogen tablets and progesterone pessaries two weeks after the injections start. Then I’ll have my transfer 5 days after the injections stops. It all depends on your body. There’s also a stimulated cycle that starts on day 2 if your periods aren’t regular xx
Are you having your eggs or your embryos frozen? It’s more normal to test embryos. I had my eggs collected on 24th January, results of embryo testing back on 14th february and embryo transfer on 23rd March after starting oestrogen on 3rd March and progesterone five days before transfer because my embryo was a five day blastocyst. However my clinic would usually need a month more to get paperwork and prescriptions in place- I had to really push to get it all done so quickly and it was because my funding was running out due to my age. My frozen embryo transfer was a semi-medicated cycle. If they decide to down reg you then it will be a longer process.
