Just back from embryo transfer - my first and a pretty amazing experience! We were able to see the blasto on a screen linked to the microscope, sitting there in the middle of the Petri dish (it made me think could this be an upside to ivf?!) And then the little flash of light as it went into my uterus ๐
I had been really anxious to hear how our 5 embryos had done as three of them were growing a bit fast on day 3 - so we were thrilled to discover all 5 had made it to blasto and are all great quality! I had never dared to hope they would all make it. I've got a 5aa on board, keeping the others as frosties โ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธ
This truly is a roller coaster but at least it does go up as well as down. For the time being a feel very grateful and happy (I'm sure I'll get the 2ww craziness soon enough).
I think there's quite a few of us around this stage at the moment ๐ค Hope everyone is doing ok today xx

Yay. Well done. It is quite special to be able to witness that moment isn't it. Brings some of the special back. And welcome to the world of PUPO (pregnant until proven otherwise). I wish you strength and patience over the next 2 weeks - along with a lovely bfp at the end. Xxx
Thats brilliant KCrochet. Glad you had a positive experience and outcome for your embies๐. Good luck with the 2WW and heres to a positive result. Wishing u a super fast 2WW. X๐คX
Find something relaxing to do, watch movies, go for walks, read a book, have lunch with your friends, listen to relaxing music.... theres plenty of waiting to do.. hopefully after the 2WW and when you get your BFP there will be a longer wait until your 1st scan so make most of your time hehe. Xx
Aww it's a funny old time isn't it! I'm doing ok so far, just enjoying the novelty of having an embie on board and chilling out at home for a bit (ie watching Poirot ๐). How are you? Are you doing anything different or carrying on as normal?
My test day is 19th which is a Sunday. I'm actually due to go away that weekend with some girlfriends, booked it ages ago but now don't know what to do about the clash!
Iโm glad your doing okay. I went back to work today which was fine but it was still constantly on my mind. Oh thatโs a dilemma isnโt it! Probably abit too early to do it on the Friday. Do you think your test while your away? X
I'm back at work next week, reckon it'll be good to keep busy but just hope I can concentrate!
Yes it had occurred to me to test on the Friday but if it was negative the upset and uncertainty would probably make me miserable. And want to be with hubby when I do the test so that rules out Sunday morning... Will probably do it Sunday night or Monday morning. Ahh decisions decisions... Are you planning to hold out til test day? xx
I think itโs best to wait and take it with hubby there. I am going to yes. As tempting as it is to test early, I donโt want any doubt over the result.
On another note, Iโve had diarrhoea today..(sorry tmi ๐)..:but any idea if thatโs any kinda sign? Or just coincidence. Iโm driving myself mad already ๐๐ x
Aww try not to look for symptoms if you can, it's such early days and anything is just as likely to be caused by the progesterone. But easier said than done I know! Only natural that we want a window on what's going on in there... We will get there, stay strong comrade! xx
Brilliant news. Itโs pretty incredible isnโt it. We just had transfer yesterday, and already feeling pretty nervous. Wishing you all the luck and a speedy, stressless tww x
Ah that's great to hear you had your transfer yesterday too ๐ Can understand the nerves, there's suddenly nothing to do except stare down the barrel of test day..! At the moment I'm blocking out the thought of testing and just enjoying carrying my embie around (in my uterus not my hand I mean). Are you managing to keep busy? xx
Ha. Yep, thatโs it isnโt it. Just trying not to think about it, and find myself pretty much constantly thinking about it! Things are pretty hectic at work which is a mixed blessing I think. Have stopped running and swimming which is driving me a little crazy, but I figured good to let my body concentrate on one thing at a time. Who knows whatโs best to do. Just guess we keep putting one foot in front of the other, and the day will arrive one way or another! Weโve tested early on other cycles, but really trying to hold out this time. X
Yes I've also stopped swimming and running for the time being, also missing them but as you say so hard to know what's best. Walking and yoga are working well for me at the moment, and it does feel good just to rest as well.
Yes agree it's best to wait til test day so at least you know where you stand with the result ๐ฌ And time will pass no matter what we do!
