Can’t find the answer to this anywhere else so though I would ask on here in case anyone knows.
Yesterday (2dp5dt) I started with sore boobs which is a classic sign of my period being due. Going by the bleed after Burserelin as my last period I would be due literally any day now. I know that progesterone can give you sore boobs but I’ve been on the pessaries over a week and soreness only started yesterday so thinking that’s it’s not that...which can only mean one thing 😩 period is coming 😩
Can’t shake the feeling that it hasn’t worked and it’s only 3 days since transfer. If I was a bit further on I’d be more hopeful it was potential pregnancy symptom but it started too early for that.
Does anyone know if you can have delayed progesterone symptoms??

Progesterone definitely takes time to build up in your blood. I usually find I’m well into my 2ww before the symptoms really kick in. Sore boobs are normal and mine were extremely sore during my recent 2ww. I also find that the dark cloud that progesterone often gives me doesn’t start until the 2nd week. I asked my fertility nurse about this and she said it happens as the hormones build up. Please don’t worry. Unfortunately early pregnancy, a period on its way and the side effects during the 2 week wait all have the same symptoms because they’re all caused by increased progesterone. Don’t worry
Thank you for the reply. That’s really useful to know. I was hoping that progesterone was the sort of thing that built up over time but it exactly when I should be due so automatically assumed the worst case. I think I may be under that deal progesterone cloud 😩
To be honest I need to stop stressing, if Period is on it’s was there is nothing I can do to stop it so may as well just chill.

It’s the same for me - it takes about a week for the cyclogest side effects to build up. Also I had really sore boobs and felt like my period was starting when I got a bfp! Unfortunately it didn’t work out but made me realise how unhelpful supposed symptoms are!
Thank you. Did it start as quick as 2/3 days past transfer though? Because it was so early on in the 2WW I just can’t imagine it will be down to pregnancy. Will either be the progesterone or AF that’s my thinking x
My first BFP was quicker, not sure if that was because it was fresh transfer but cramps and sore boobs started 3DP5DT, this time it was FET and started 5DP5DT. I've had 6 transfers now and for me cramps have always been worse when BFP 😀 XX
I had a bunch of side effects/symptoms but most of them didn't start until I had been taking them for about a week. Then the next few weeks they were really bad. Unfortunately progesterone mimics early pregnancy symptoms so if you get your bfp, as I did, it's difficult to know what was really causing those nasty effects. From memory I had cramping, exhaustion, frequent urination, mood swings and tender breasts, really tender breasts! Good luck!
