A silly question here but does anyone understand the grades of embryos? I was never explained this on my first cycle and just told it was good. I’m due to go in again in a couple of weeks and want to have more questions for the nurse? Like what grade is it etc.. I mean they wouldn’t put anything back if they didn’t think it would be good would they?
Sorry if I sound stupid just still teaching myself about the whole ivf system 🤷♀️
Happy Thursday anyway Ive woken up feeling good and positive x

So exciting so you are going to be PUPO soon (pregnant until proven otherwise). Yay! I don't understand something about the higher the number the better - but my clinic don't grade them. Some clinics in America are finding good results with previously discarded embryos where they had been discarded based on grading. So I would suggest that you cross that particular worry off your list.
I did lots of reading into embryo grading. However just bear in mind that a grading is just that, our embryologist explained that he's seen failures with very good embryos and success with some very poor embryos! I think its just one massive lottery but if you want to ask about what your embryos were then this may help! Top one for Blastocysts and second one for 3 day embryos.xx
I don't know much about grading at all, my clinic don't use the terms I see on here, they have only told me they were top quality, above average, below average etc. I would ask your clinic how they grade them and try to understand as it seems clinics use different ways to grade embryos.
