Just wondering if any has any experience of the first ivf session (information session) at St Barts? What can we expect on the day? Any tips for the day?
We have our session next week and are hoping we will get a start date when we have our one2one with the nurse...

Hi my lovely.. i was at barts. From what I can remember you attend a class room
Like thing with lots of other couples( i was amazed by how many other people are going through this journey) in this class they give you all the information regarding ivf..... an embryologist also gives a talk about there role and what they do.....then in the afternoon you go to see a nurse.... and then they start planning your treatment..... good luck.... I felt that Barts were very good from the beginning to end and I’m now 13 weeks xxx
Hi. Thank you for your reply. And CONGRATULATIONS!! Good to hear you felt they was very good from the beginning to end, always nice to hear we’ll be looked after! How long after the session did your treatment begin? Did you collect medication on the same day? Thanks again x
This was almost 18 months ago so just racking my brain... I did think oohhh this is quick as I collected all my medication on the day and started in line with my next menstrual cycle... also don’t forget your id’s such as passports because they will take copies and you’ll also need to sign all your consent forms as well xx
Thanks for the heads up. We already went for an appointment where we gave over our passports but I shall take them with again, just incase! Was you on the long or short protocol? I’ve read, once you get your start date then it seems to go super fast. xx
