Having been ttc for 7 years, I have found out that I am 6 weeks pregnant. All was well, until 2-3 days ago, I have started to have spotting (only when passing urine or when wiping). Not enough to fill a pantyliner. Today the colour consistency has changed between brown and red with mild cramping!
I have had my hcg tested which the Dr said it was fine but having it rechecked in 2 days- I am terrified!!
Can anyone relate to this and had carried on to full term??

It seems really common to spot during early pregnancy. As long as it’s only spotting and isn’t accompanied by severe cramping because again, mild cramping is quite normal xx
Hi Kay, I had some red bleeding and brown spotting when I was just over 5 weeks, it's very scary. my clinic were great and got me in for bloods to check my hcg levels, after the first bloods they called to say they were high enough to do a scan, everything was as it should be and the scan was repeated a week later.
I'm 20 weeks pregnant now and thankfully not had anymore bleeding or spotting.
I had a baby last year and around 6-12 weeks had some red spotting. Always only when I wiped and some quite nasty cramps. My little one was fine. This part is the hardest as you have to wait for your scan. Try to take it easy and keep your mind busy if you can xx
I'm in an almost identical position-completely understand!!! Having never actually got to this stage before, there's no way of knowing what to expect. Have had spotting/bleeding for 7 days. I had a scan with my local EPAU yesterday - showed everything is developing as it should be and nothing untoward. Doc thinks it's linked to implantation. I was particularly worried about the possibility of an ectopic pregnancy- the scan reassured me, so you could explore that option? Wishing you lots of love and luck for Thursday xx
Hi Heatherstar83. I’m happy all is well with you, hope you enjoy your 9 months x
My bleeding is slightly worse today. I am worried about ectopic or miscarriage.
Thank you for you Love and luck- I need it x
I spotted like this for weeks in early pregnancy, I'm not 36 weeks. I know it's worrying, but it's often nothing to worry about. Sending you big hugs xx
I’m so sorry to hear your pregnancy ended in an ectopic as I know how horrendously painful they are, having had 3 myself. I eventually had both my tubes removed so ivf was my only option, but thankfully I’m almost 12 weeks pregnant now 😊.
Hopefully when you’ve given yourself the time to recover from your loss and the surgery, next time will be your time 🙏 sending lots of love xX
Thank you for sharing your story- congratulations on your baby bump! Did you ivf work 1st round? I have had 1 cycle some years back but embryo didn’t attach-
We’re taking some time out now as you said to recover and get our heads around everything but hopefully 2019 will be a more positive year.
This was my 2nd round as the one I had back when I was 23 didn’t work and a couple of failed frozen transfers.
I don’t blame you for taking some time out to recover as it takes a lot out of you and it’s a bit of a shock to the system having an ectopic. Did they try you on methotrexate before the surgery? XX
What a shame with your first round only ending up with the 1 embryo.
I know they always like to try the methotrexate, to save you having surgery, but it’s never worked for me either and I ended up rupturing aswell. I think it’d just be easier to do the op ASAP, so the whole things over for you and you can get start getting better. Wishing you all the best in your recovery 😘 xX
