Repeat sperm analysis? 😯

My partner did a sperm analysis in june and we have just been told he needs to do another sample but they wouldnt tell us why was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else and everything was ok after the second analysis?

It’s standard. An SA needs to be repeated after 3 months. Don’t worry xx

My partner had an initial test in May and since we're going with a different clinic for IVF and it had been a few months, it was recommended we get another one. We were told semen samples can vary quite a lot, so it's useful to have two data points.

Yes we did, his first one the sperm were a little on the slow side but above average quantity so they wanted another, 2nd time they were fantastic. He had a stressful week first time rounf so can only presume that was why. They should tell you why though! Bit rude of them. Im sure it'll be fine.

It's completely normal to have 2 done, keeping my fingers crossed for you x
