So this week we’ve agreed our second donor for getting ready for round 2 😁 and I really couldn’t be happier, after my last donor match I didn’t think we would find one as good as that match again, but I was wrong! This donor sounds amazing and although some of our visual features are different, our interests, outlooks, careers, family lives etc are very similar and I have a really good and calm feeling about this round. This amazing donor is donating for no other reason than to help women like me achieve their longed for baby, and I feel so much compassion for this amazing women.
And to top off the week my hubbys transplant specialist has agreed he can take the hidden c tablets with me, so hopefully we can get the course completed before he gets the call 👍🏻😊

That's such good news. So happy to hear this. Everything coming together. This is your time xxx
That would be the best Xmas ever for you! I’m prob going to fly out to Athens to have a hysto and implantation cuts but will then mean a transfer maybe nov/Dec time and can’t decide what to do or to leave it till the new year. My bdays Nov then obviously Xmas but will see nearer the time how I feel as having a freeze all anyway xx
I don't know what to suggest about timing but of course with the procedure for cuts etc you will want to have the transfer done as close as possible to that? It only lasts for a certain amount of time does it not? Xx
Yeah 2 months is the best time to do it in. So going to see how things go on collection day, well 5 days later and go from there, as it may be nov time before that happens, so may just delay till the new year. November buddies! Haha! xx
Aww KittyK 😊 nice to hear from you! Hope all is going well with you little one! And have you decided on when to try again with your remaining Frosties? Xxx
Don’t be letting those negative thoughts creep in. Your always so positive. The 2ww never seems to get any easier how ever many times we do it. If it helps my last one that I got a bfp with I had literally zero symptoms from transfer to test date, all the others I had but that one non at all. My fingers are crossed very tightly for you xxx
I’ve had af cramping on my bfps but although I’ve had sporadic cramping this time it doesn’t feel like af. Guess I was looking for the same symptoms I got on my bfp.. Sorry to say I’ve been feeling negative for days 🤦🏻♀️ xx
Aww bless you! It is so hard to remain positive as I find I change hourly as to how positive I feel in the 2ww. When’s test day? You always do so well hanging on till then to test. I’m rooting for you big time! Xx
It truly is torture waiting till it’s official test day, even if you get s positive much earlier, you know it’s still hot to be there and darker by test day, so either ways a nightmare! Wishing you all the luck for wed xxx
Aw Cocker 😢 this journey is so so hard. Hopefully your doc can give you some support. But if you can keep going, you just never know what the outcome would have been if you stop now. Easier said than done, but that’s what keeps me going xx
Ah that's great news. Our first round failed with a donor that sounded so lovely. I hope we are as lucky second time around. I hope you have success this time around x x
That’s definitely the best way! I joined weight watchers in January and have now lost 2stone and feel so much better for it. I walk loads now and I really feel the combination of good eating (with a few naughty treats) and exercise has definitely helped my mental and emotional health xx
Thanks Ana! I’m not actually having my treatment in Athens. Having it all in the U.K. on the access refund package, but have had the Hidden c test and probably the hystocopy in Athens. Sending you lots of luck for your cycle xx
Im ok ta! I plan to do a mock transfer this cycle....waiting on day 1 of period and then we will make a plan from there whether to do a dilatation before next embryo transfer. Bit of a pain, however I want to try to make sure my next transfer goes without a hitch to hopefully give us a better chance of success. There just always seems to be something standing in my way and its so frustrating!!xx
I completely understand why your so frustrated, there always seems to be blockers doesn’t there when your gearing up for everything. I really hope the mock cycle works for you. You so deserve this! Xx
Thanks WaywardGirl. Just seen your recent post! Huge congrats and hope you have a healthy and easy pregnancy xx
Hi baby2016
So happy for you! I hope you don’t mind me asking (or whether it’s allowed on this site) but how did you find this donor? You mentioned Athens in your post? Donor eggs is something I’m considering and have in the back of my mind as a last resort. My partner is not so keen so trying to arm myself with as much information as possible.
Aw thank you MsZen. It was a hard decision for me at first as kept thinking I’ll give my eggs one last go. But went with the facts instead as it was either the money to try with my own again or move to DE but not enough money to do both. 1st DE proved it was prob my eggs as managed to get 4 blasts which I’d never had!
I have used a clinic in the U.K. through the access fertility refund package. £16k for 3 rounds and if no baby at the end of 3 rounds you get £11k back.
I have had the hidden c test done through a clinic in Athens but that was literally sending off a blood sample, and will probably be visiting them for a hystocopy and implantation cuts before my next transfer to maximise chances as much cheaper there than here for the procedure and not a lot of clinic do the implantation cuts here. Hope all that helps xx
Things with me are ok at mo. Mummy sadly passed away start of August with a brain tumour, only diagnosed 3.5 weeks before she died. We had hols booked wasn’t sure if I wanted to go but we did, landed in Tenerife on Sunday evening. Lovely to chill xx
Oh Macca 😭 how tragic and upsetting for you. I lost my dad suddenly a few years ago, it took a good while for it all to sink in, and as much as expected it all I miss him so much, especially with all the bad luck we’ve had since he passed. So I completely understand the grief and shock you’ll be going through right now. Lovely that your away at the min. Exactly what is needed for you, sending you a huge hug xxx
Same as you too, daddy died October 2016 was expected but doesn’t make it easier and takes a while to sink in asyougabe said now mummy within 1yr and 10 months life is so unfair at times but comfort to know once again they happy together again. Hopefully this time is your time and it works out too. Thank you for your huge hug. Right back at you and keep us posted about donor xxx
Oh Macca, this is so sad. Such a lot for you to go through in such a short space of time, and probably lots for you to sort out too. As you say, least they are both together now, even though I know that won’t ease the pain. Make sure you have that rest time and you enjoy the sun while you can! Xx
Fantastic news! Totally agree donor ladies are truly angels. Best of look and hoping those good vibes bring you luck xxx
Thank you abaco 😊 just seen you’ve had some tests done recently. They sound interesting and I hope they give you some answers as to why you’ve suffered losses. Keep us updated xx
Aw thanks jengi, once I expected I couldn’t use my own eggs it actually had excitement similar to my first round with my own eggs, which was a refreshing change! Good luck with your next cycle. I’ve just seen you’ve had cyst issues, don’t worry, I had this on one of my cycles and they had gone by the following cycle xx
