So my husbands micro teasse surgery was unsuccessful we are moving forward for IVF with donar sperm (I will have ivf as soon as sperm is released - 3 months tops 🤞🏻)
does anyone here have any advise or success stories for me ?... thanks in advance xxxx
Hi Harper989, I don’t have a personal success story but friends of my partner used donor sperm and they now have a gorgeous little girl who is around 3 years old. Good luck xxx
No advice hun- but just wanted to say we went down that route too as my DH had unsuccessful micro teasse so your bot alone. I'm currently 7 weeks PUPO!
ok, that's my story... me and my partner're always somewhere between UK and Slovenia (buisness) so... when we found out that we'll need a donor sperm... we decided to use a institut in Austria (recomendation)....
However, we used a donor sperm (donor from Austria) in our IVF procedure - the 1st IVF was successful - I'm 7 weeks pregnant ☺️☺️....
(and we also have a 4-very good quality- embryos, waiting for us ☺️)
So, using a sperm from donor...worked for us (for now) ❤️
I’m so sorry that the Micro teasse didn’t work for your OH. Hope you are both doing ok, it’s a lot of emotion to process.
It took us quite a while to get sorted with donor sperm so that’s great news that they’ve told you you’ll get started in 3 months. Sounds like you are moving forward already xx
We waited 6 months to just process the news as my OH was truly heartbroken about the diagnosis.
Then tried a NHS clinic (but paying for it) and they would only use a sperm bank that didn’t have anyone who looked like him so we had to move clinic again.
Then we discovered I needed to be immunised against rubella and couldn’t have the CMV tests (to match my CMV to the donor) until that kicked in...so all in all we have waited almost 18 months. Finally selecting sperm now and hope to squeeze in an IUI before Christmas.
Oh m god I’m the same! We started this in April 2017 !!... horrendous wait but I hope it’s all worth it 🤞🏻Plus exhausting all routes for your hubby is so important xx
If you don’t mind me asking why IUI and not ivf/ICSI? Xxx
I just want to give IUI one shot. Much cheaper and less drugs involved which really appeals to me.
I’m only going to do one and then move to IVF as the chances of it working are so low. I don’t think we need ICSI anymore as the quality of sperm from the donor is good.
You’ll maybe get started at the same time as me if you are starting in 3 months x
