Hello everyone,

So I went in for my egg collection yesterday morning. I was very nervous but it all went smoothly and they managed to get 6 eggs. I was a little defeated that it wasn’t 8 to 10 but the nurse was pleased.

I got home and my lovely husband looked after me brilliantly. The pain wasn’t too bad, paracetamol did the trick. I also managed to sleep for most of the afternoon.

I didn’t manage to sleep too well last night as the dread of the phone call was weighing heavy on my mind. I got up this morning and did my first pessary (not as bad as I thought it was going to be) then went downstairs to make a cuppa. I thought I would have a bit of a wait for the call but my phone rang at 9.15....it was great news! All 6 eggs have fertilised!!! 🎉🎉🎉 I am over the moon. Will get a phone call on Saturday morning with our day 3 update.

I was too tired and out of it to post anything yesterday 😄 I was so happy when the call came through saying that all 6 had fertilised! I just hope it’s more good news when they call on Saturday.

How did your scan go today? Xx

Scan went went, thin lining and small ovaries so I’ve started on the menopur tonight, a week earlier than planned so I’m happy with that!! 😀😘 got another scan next Friday xx

Yeah I’ve had today off and I’m not going in tomorrow either. Still taking paracetamol every 4 hours and I’m shattered so just taking it easy. I work in a nursery so don’t fancy a 10 hour day with a bunch of 3 and 4 year olds 😄

That’s good that they’ve started you a week early. I bet you’re happy to be a week ahead of schedule 😊 xx

I don’t blame you having a few days off, I’m a teacher so I know what it’s like trying to entertain a class of children. Luckily my class are lovely this year and not making me stressed (yet!) 😝hope the pain eases soon xx

I’m feeling positive too. I definitely think that having a positive mental attitude helps with all of this.

I’ll let you know how we get on with our day 3 update phone call on Saturday.
