Headache to Migraine

Hi ladies so following on from having a constant hormonal headache since starting stims last night, on day 6, it turned into a migraine. Started about 3 hours after I took my injections, I was even vomiting with it (sorry TMI) hence how I know its a migraine. Is this normal? I know 'normal' is really different for every woman's protocol but I am really struggling now.

Hi Hun, I understand exactly what your going through. It's bloody awful! I get a lot of migraines normally which I have prescription medication for so do manage. When I started stims, I couldn't take my pain relief & was in agony for days with migraines. Paracetamol doesn't even take the edge off. I don't remember when they shifted but it was after a good few days. Hope your head feels better very soon xx

Thanks hun, I used to suffer badly with migraine in my 20s but not much in my 30s (I’m 33). I’ve been taking paracetamol but you’re right, it’s doing nothing. The fog has lifted a little today but I have taken my injections yet so I think it’ll come back.

I had migraine with aura - flashing lights. I was too scared to contact the clinic as I didn't want them to change my meds!

They went away after a few days - and didn't get any for the rest of the treatment.

Xxx

Yes this is my worry! I haven’t had aura but I did spend last night in a dark room with sunglasses on in case my husband came in and put on the lights!

I was struggling with those all way long. During iui and ivf shots. Having these or those meds, injectibles. I guess those were mainly my nerves and hormones playing in me. I used to have bad sleep almost always, so seems this contributed to migraines that often..This is the thing you have to deal with. I'm hoping you'll cope and soon your head will feel better. All the best of luck for your coming shot.

My sleep has been ok, feel like I would sleep for 12 hours if I had the time. Thank you, so far today has been easier x
