Hi all just wondering what you do with left over medication? It seems such a waste and I know that companies don’t accept medication back for a refund (wouldn’t that be great) I’m not sure it will last for another round (not doing anymore after this one) so just wanted to know your thoughts
Thanks in advance 😘

I know you’re not meant to, but I’ve donated some cetrotide and cyclogest to a couple of people to save them money, and I have also received a whole rounds worth of bemfola and cetrotide too.
Hi GreenApples. This is something I get asked about loads! It's so frustrating to have leftover drugs. Legally the law states that you should not give away or sell leftover drugs. I know some people do, but be careful. You are supposed to return them to a pharmacy to be destroyed. I realise that we all store our drugs perfectly, but it can't be proven unless kept at the clinic, who can then use leftover drugs for training purposes and not usage. Obviously, most of us hold on to them in case we need them again, so perhaps do that until you are certain you won't be using them. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Diane
I'd agree with Diane, I had some buserilin left over but you don't know about an individual person's prescription so you could get in some trouble if they had a bad reaction due to the wrong type of medication or something like that. Best to return to a pharmacy or your clinic to be safe xx
I gave mine back to the clinic and they use left overs for training etc. I thought about keeping them for next time but as it won’t save me money (still will need more of all drugs so still the full NHS prescription charge) it seemed better to let them get some use out of them.
