Hi Ladies, I’m currently reading a book about vulnerability which is incredibly interesting. I originally started to read it for work (am a teacher) but by golly can I relate to so many of the things Brene Brown talks about. It’s a really easy read and covers things like shame. She mentions infertility at times but it really is making me think about the emotions I have felt during my battle with infertility. She did a TED talk if you wanted to look at that online too. I did before I bought the book. Anyway, thought I’d share. Love to you all. xxx

Thank you for sharing xx
Will take a look at this thank you for recommending X
Thank you, I’m gonna have a look at this x
Sounds interesting, thanks x
Thanks for this MrsC. I’ve come across Brene Brown myself and found this YouTube cartoon clip about empathy exactly explained why I found some people supportive while others seemed to be but weren’t youtu.be/1Evwgu369Jw
I love this little video -I actually posted it on Facebook as a hint to some of my less supportive friends. Until watching it myself, I couldn’t understand why comments from some people made me feel so bad, like ‘at least you can do ivf’, ‘if first cycle doesn’t work you can always have another, why are you so worried?’ or ‘you can always adopt’. It’s like, yeah, great, but is it not just ok for me to be sad that I’m not pregnant after all these years when everyone else seems to be?!! Xx
Thanks for this! I’ve not seen this. It’s so good! I wish I’d shown my ex best friend this. So simple but so true! x
Thanks for sharing! Will get this book, interested in hearing more x
Also, didn’t realise she’d done a TED talk, will check it out xx
Thanks for sharing will definitely take a look x x
Slow to the party here but oh my gosh I have recently discovered BB and he wisdom has actually been a lifesaver for me. Such a revelation! I first read the gifts of imperfection and am trying to incorporate the wholehearted living concepts into my life where possible. The read Dare to Lead and was equally impressed - keep trying to pass it round my team at work as I think they could learn a lot from it haha!
