Hi
I saw in another post someone mentioned the book, it started with an egg, has anyone read it? Would you recommend it? Or is there any other books you would recommend instead?
Thanks

Hiya
Yes I would definitely recommend this book, I'm so glad I read this. It helped me to keep a focus and make positive changes, and made me feel like i was doing all i could towards our ivf, good luck xx
I would also recommend it. It discusses lots of scientific studies. IVF can be a very bumpy ride - we are on our 5th transfer - but knowledge is power. Xx
Hi there, I think it’s a a great book! For both partners to read.
Hey Nic,
I would definitely recommend this. It’s quite scientific and has a big focus on background health and supplements etc. I would also recommend Zita West’s guide to fertility which is much broader and covers the whole ivf process etc and what to expect. If you are thinking of IVF, The other really good book which is totally different is ‘get a life’ by Richard Mackey and rosey bray. It’s much more informal and written by a couple going through IVF. Each chapter is broken into the husbands thoughts and then the wives. It’s quite funny, informative and just very real. So basically what to expect worts and all! I really enjoyed it and it’s a nice contrast to starts with the egg which is great but quite scientific and full on!
(Also, again if you are considering IVF - the ‘BFN’ podcast is very good - funny, down time earth but also informative and helpful without being too intense. I found it very helpful (listen in order from start as it runs like an ivf diary) )
Good luck with everything.
Yes and that's also to answer your other question about supplements i.e. just follow this book, and I second Louloulovelle 's suggestion about Zita's book and also Zita's IVF diet book as I really believe thanks to these 3 books I'm now pregnant, good luck!
I have just bought this book and am currently reading it, loving everything about it.
Yes! This book helped me the most. Has excellent sections of different causes of infertility & the vitamins that may help you. Xx
I would highly recommend this book. Buy the latest 2019 version. Get some highlighters and a pen and take notes of what u find most relevant. I found the supplements that she recommended the most beneficial to me. Also some easy lifestyle changes like cutting out plastic when u can and going au natural with your shampoos etc was easy to do and made me feel u was making a difference for my 2nd cycle after a failed one. Depending on your type of infertility there are lots of sections for all types of people , so u may not need to read every chapter . Good luck
Thank you for all your replies, they are extremely helpful! I will be buying this book and also have found a couple of others to read too! Thank you again
