I can't believe it but today we saw a heartbeat!!!
I'm still in complete denial and absolutely terrified. Have never got this far before. My husband can't stop smiling at me which is freaking me out.
After the scan last week at 6+3 showing a completely empty sac and being told I would start bleeding soon, to the EPU trying to book me in for a D&C straightaway - to say its been a rollercoaster is a massive understatement.
Still so far to go and still brown spotting but there is a small amount of blood around the sac that we know about. Recommended that I rescan next week (which still scares me) and due to see the Obstetrician this week anyway as was pre-booked due to my ancient age!
Thank you so much to all you ladies for your support. As always you've been amazing.

wow!! That's amazing! I've been waiting for your update and had no idea whether it would be happy or sad. So glad to read this!! I presume the bleeding is from the embryo that didn't implant? at least you will be closely monitored now so you should get reassurance hopefully. Congratulations!!! Xxx
Hi Mantaray75. Well done you - and your little "bean". Now you know why I always liked the first scan to be done at 7/40wks and not 6/40wks. Fingers crossed all continues to progress. Diane
Well done you for getting through a very tough time! So pleased for you about getting the heartbeat - must have been amazing!! Best wishes for your next scan - not surprised your hubby is grinning from ear to ear! 🙌 💛 xxx
This truly awesome news! I’m so thrilled for you! So glad you stuck to your guns & didn’t get badgered by EPU. From what I’ve read lots of women don’t get a heartbeat detected till 7 weeks or so, 6 weeks seems very early to do a a scan. Hope you can enjoy being pregnant now ❤️❤️❤️ xoxo
Yaaaaayyyy!! So, so, so happy for you! I know it’s difficult to get excited, but your little foetus has got this far against the odds, so it’s clearly a strong one! 😊 Congratulations to you both! xx
Hi mantaray.....thanks for ur supporting reply in my post....jst saw ur post with a successful story...I wanted to ask did u feel the heart beat of ur baby before u came to know the heartbeat on the scan ??
No, it was a complete shock that there was a heartbeat. I don’t think you would ever ‘feel’ the heartbeat and won’t feel the baby moving until much later on. It was more that my hcg was rising properly (although this can happen with a blighted ovum). I just didn’t feel it was 100% so didn’t want to go ahead with the d&c until I was sure. How are you doing at the moment? X
Feeling pregnant....have slight cramps not much symptoms ....but my blood work has come negative but they saw a gestational sac in the scan so they are confused....and iam devastated..... Doctor said if blood is negative I shouldn't have any sac but I do.....iam really hoping it jst works and develop a cute lil one on my next scan....plss do pray....
I had a large bleed at 6 weeks without cramps. At 6+3 there was an empty irregular sac which I was told was non viable. A week later we got the heartbeat.
I had the odd fleeting cramp as things were stretching but not like the painful cramps I had when I miscarried.
When they say your bloods were negative what do they mean? If the hcg is dropping then that isn't a good sign. If hcg isn't even detected then I'm not sure how there could be a pregnancy sac.
