I’m looking at treatment abroad and one of the things they’ve asked me to provide is a mammogram result (I’m over 40 so this seems standard procedure)
Have any of you had this? I phoned a couple of places yesterday but they wouldn’t give me prices and said I had to see the consultant first for a breast check and discussion of my concerns. I don’t have any concerns as I just need it to tick the box for ivf.
Do any of you have experience of where to go for this and how much it will be? It’s just an endless pot of money needed for this process!

I have them because of a family history and they scan earlier in NZ. I would check they definitely have to have it. Explain that it’s not standard practice in the UK at your age. Some things it looks like they want they aren’t so fussed about after all. Our clinic in Spain said we had to have karyotyping but then said it was up to us when we questioned it.
Lots of good advice on hear already. Was just thinking if you have to have it then maybe speak with your GP. It might be that if you say you’re privately funding then they could do referral paperwork for you to cut out the need for an expensive consultant appointment. Good luck, like others have said - hopefully you won’t need it.
I know my clinic had this on their list and I was just approaching 40 and they didnt ask for it. Im now 40, almost 41 and they still havent asked me for one so as the others said I would ask if its "necessary" or "desired" of you know what Im mean. You may well not need it.xx
