Ive been told the same. My acupuncturist suggested I started taking a herb called vitex agnus castus .. its supposed to help balance out your hormones as PCO is caused by an imbalance of hormones in the first place. This is my second month of taking it. Fingers crossed it helps. Might be worth looking in to? x

If you’re hormones are all balanced everything is more insync. Google it, it has been shown to have lots of benefits for those TTC x

Ok thanks xx

Hi. Do you have PCO or the syndrome. If you have the syndrome and you do not ovulate frequently your fertility will be affected. If you just have a cystic appearance to you ovaries but no hormonal abnormalities I dont think it is. But you will still be a risk of hyperstimulation if you go down the off route.

I had cystic ovaries and they where concerned about overstimulation but I actually responded poorly so you can never tell.

it is PCO not pcos, I ovulate and have regular periods. I have had all tests going and so has my OH and no reason as to why im not conceiving, I have never been pregnant.. :( but the only thing they have noticed is I have PCO.. this has got to effect ttc otherwise why isn't it happening...

in reply tosammejayne

Unfortunately lots of people have 'unexplained infertility' with completely normal tests. Good luck with your journey.

Hey . I have PCO and everything else is normal however can't get pregnant ttc 7 years.

My sister in law have PCO and she's got 5 kids (1 after another) so sometimes pco will make it hard to get pregnant and sometimes it won't.

Sorry to ask, how did you wait 7 years... I’ve only done 3 and am going to start ivf after we marry in April, I can’t wait any longer xx

We didn't wait😁 We were ttc since I was 25 and when I got to 30 years old that's when we went to fertility clinic. Not having kids before 30 didn't bother us because we had an amazing life and diffrent priorities. We tried some treatments and IVF was the last option unfortunately. Xxx

that's fair enough.. I have everything crossed for you, please update me when you get your BFP :-D

I have pco too. Came as a bit of a shock when we started treatment as I ovulate and have a regular cycle. We have Male factor issues with sperm though. I think in general it’s believed that it shouldn’t hinder natural conception, not in itself anyway xx
