Has anyone had to arrange for frozen sperm to be flown abroad?

Wondering whether its straight forward or not. Is it just as simple as calling a courier and have the hospital let them collect it if we sign a form? Calling hospital on Monday X

As I had low count and our ICSI cycles were all resulting in BFN, so to change things we decided to use donor sperm. We liked an agency in California as we could see so much info about the donors and even hear recorded interviews with them! It wasn't expensive (in the context of IVF treatment) and they shipped to the UK, they just needed the clinic details.

It was a simple process, we helped it along by chasing both the agency in the USA and our own clinic, but it all worked. Unfortunately the cycle was BFN, but the process was simple.

So I imagine it wont be much different going the other way, i.e as long as the whole thing is being transferred from medical center to medical center, from an individual I'm not sure.
