HCG tests - 2nd test didnt double :-(

Hi All, so I had my 2nd hcg blood test today and the dr came back and said the results were 'ok'. They didnt double from my first hcg which was on Saturday and the dr expected them to double. I have been in tears since and so upset as I just dont know what to make of this?. I have to do a 3rd hcg test on saturday. Can anyone shed any light on the numbers below or has anybody has this happened to them and still go on with a bfp and healthy pregnancy. I feel I am going crazy right now. is this likely to end for me or is there still a good chance it will work? Xx

Two 5 days blasts transferred 15 days ago.

Hcg test 1 was 172 (9th June)

Hcg test 2 was 297 (13th June)

If you read my old posts from two years ago mine didn’t double either and I was worried sick. My third blood test they started doubling all of a sudden. They said where I had two embryos implanted it may have been one dying off while the other continued to grow. That pregnancy continues and my little girl is now 15 months old xx

It can go either way hun but I wanted to share my story with you to give you some hope.

I’ve no experience of blood test readings as my clinic doesn’t give them but I just wanted to say that I hope Saturday brings you good news. Like lianm8 said, it could be that only one of your embies has taken and the tests are reflecting that.

Mine did not double either and later on it turned out I had vanished twin syndrome. Don’t stress! Stress is bad for you and baby... wait for next hcg and most importantly the scan! Positive all the way... 🤗🤗🤗🤰🤰🤰

Hey kat how are you getting on? I remember we had ec on the same day. Hope you are good? Thanks for your reply. How mant tests did you have until your scan? Its made me feel a bit better knowing that this can happen. Going to try and stay positive now.xx

Hi, indeed same EC date. Tomorrow I will be 33 weeks. Enjoying every minute of my pregnancy while I can even with all pregnancy related issues ie swallow ankles, heartburn, etc. Some people that are not aware of my IVF journey don’t understand how good it feels to have all these issues. Strange but true! You will get there... be positive that is all I can say... thing of the good things and leave the bad thoughts behind! 🤰🤰🤰
