This is a weird thing to complain about but I am not getting any side effects from my stim injections. I am on a lower dose because of PCOS. I had prepared myself for aches and soreness but I can honestly say if it wasn’t for doing my injections in the morning it wouldn’t feel like I was doing IVF. I’m worried that it’s not working.
Has anyone else been successful but not had side effects? Again apologies for anyone suffering right now as it is a silly thing to moan about.
How many days have you been on the meds? What I’ve read about women taking menopur is, if women are to experience any symptoms at all they don’t normally start until day 4 of injections. You may be on a different Med though? I suppose we are all different and it may depend on what meds you are taking. I’m currently on 150iu of menopur ive only done one shot so I’m not experiencing anything at the moment.

112.5 of bemfola. Scan is tomorrow to check progress. Tomorrow will be my tenth injection. I think because I’ve been warned so much about the risks of OHSS I’ve been waiting for horrendous side effects that might never come.

I never did either in my two cycles. I did the long and short protocols each with the 150 of Menopur. Just toward the end before egg collection I felt a little swollen and heavy but that’s it. Haven’t had many symptoms with my BFP either!
Exactly same thing here! I am on 225 iu of Fostimon, done 8 already and zero symptoms! I only had typical ovulation discharge yesterday and a few cramps, but really light. I have my scan as well tomorrow. I have your same doubts. I hope everything will be ok. I am terrified of OHSS like you. Good luck to us for tomorrow!
I don’t think I had any symptoms from the stims until a couple of days before egg collection when I felt a bit bloated. Hopefully your scan will put your kind at ease that something is happening. I was also at risk of OHSS so they started me on a low dose of stims but then upped it after my first scan as I was a bit of a slow responder but by Egg Collection everything was fine and I got 11 eggs collected. Update - scan went well and everything is growing as it should. I’ve been given two more injections to do over the weekend and they’ll make a decision on Monday at my extra scan. Such a relief to see it had worked. Just goes to show that everyone’s experience of IVF is different.
Thanks to everyone for the reassurances. Having support does make things so much easier. IVF can be quite isolating.

If you are on short protocol you often don’t get many side effects until towards the end on very high doses and near egg collection (or after)
The side effects usually with ivf are more during the ‘down regulation’ phase rather than the stimming phase. You don’t get down regulated on short protocol hence less sx.
I actually felt brilliant on both cycles - better than ever lol and I had plenty of follicles andhigh doses. Only became mild ohss After egg collection.
But everyone’s experience can be very unique- especially during the 2ww so try to relax during it if you can!
Hey CJem18 I was thinking the same thing about mine. I am on day 2 of menopur at 450 but other than a slightly heavier feeling on my left side, that's the only side effect I've had. I'm pretty sure I had more side effects when I was on 225/300 of menopur on my first cycle. Glad to see that your scan has offered you relief to know all is going well xx
