Anybody lost cells at thaw ?? Blastocyst transfer feeling down 😥

Today r only embryo that made blastocyst got thawed unfortunately it lost 40% cells just feeling so down this is r 4th round ne sucess stories of something similar help ? Tia xx

Hi on the day of our FET our blastocyst was thawed and lost cells (can’t remember how much) but as we were waiting to go down for ET it started regenerating (if that’s the right word) and now we have a 15 week old baby. Good luck xx

I’ve had 3 FETs now. On the first 2 when the embryologist phoned to tell me they’d thawed they didn’t say anything about losing any cells so don’t know if they did, but the gradings they had were better than the grades they had been frozen at. I had a chemical and a BFN.

On my current round when the embryologist phoned she said that it had lost some cells on thawing but didn’t say how many. The grading wasn’t quite as good as pre freezing though. I’ve just tested and got a BFP. I’m not getting too excited yet due to my previous experience of a chemical but I have got further along than last time so looking promising. But it just goes to show that embryos can lose cells on thawing and still make it. Good luck and hope the 2ww doesn’t drive you too crazy!
