HPT reassurance needed x

After finally getting our bfp last Wednesday after numerous failed and cancelled cycles of ivf, I have become a bit addicted to poas! However i’ve done a test this morning and the pregnancy line is dark but the control line is barely visible, it actually looks clearer than it is on the photo. Has anyone else had this and gone on to have a positive outcome? All the hpts before this have had 2 good strong lines. Our viability scan is still more than 2 weeks away and i’m driving myself potty with worrying something is going to go wrong xx

I dont know but I would have thought as long as the test line is there and is strong you have nothing to worry about. Try not too worry, that still looks very positive to me xx

I tested after my bfp and noticed that the test line was more faint than the positive line. I think it's something to do with having a lot of hcg in your urine and more dye being used on the positive line. Basically it's not a bad thing, pretty sure it's a good thing xx

Thank you. I was a complete drama queen and emailed first response. They said the darkness of either line didn’t matter and as long as there were two lines it meant I was still pregnant. Congratulations on your BFP too. The worrying never stops does it?! Xx

Oh bless you!!! No the worrying never stops, I find something every day lol. But you definitely don't need to worry about that test, it's a very strong positive line. You don't need to worry about doing bloods xx

Only way to tell for sure is to get HCG bloods done then retest in 48 hours. If it’s increasing then brilliant xxx

Thank you. My ivf clinic doesn’t do them unfortunately. I have a booking in appointment with the midwife on Friday so will ask about bloods. We aren’t having a scan until we’re almost 8 weeks so it was be nice to have a bit of reassurance before then xxx

I paid privately to have them done. Lots of places will do it if you need to. This is one hard journey. I have everything crossed for you. Good luck xx
