Just a little rant as I’m a little on the hormonal side!! Does anyone else struggle to get hold of their clinic? It doesn’t seem to matter which department you ring or at what time of day, I’ve never once got through to them first time! I know on the grand scheme of things this isn’t some life changing issue, but it really p*sses me off!! Just wondering if everyone else’s clinics were the same x x x

Anyone else struggle to get hold of their clinic??!!
Yeah my clinic are the same, they do eventually ring back but it’s frustrating waiting and I find myself watching my phone in hope they’ll ring quicker lol xx
It’s so annoying, especially when your at work! Don’t get me wrong I know there busy, but to not once to ever get through is so frustrating!!
We’ve been lucky with the clinic we were using; no complaints at all. Someone always answers the phone or replies to your email. No question or query is too much. Unfortunately they’re pricey so we’re looking at another clinic which I’m not as impressed by, so far, but it’s cheaper xx
Perhaps the more you pay the more there of them to answer the phones lol! Have you decided on which clinic yet or are you still in limbo? Such a hard decision to make hunny I don’t envy you x x
70% old clinic 30% new clinic. If the new clinic didn’t have a waiting list it would be more inclined to give them a go but we would have to wait until September, at the earliest. If we go with our old clinic I’m consumed by guilt over the price difference xx
The money side is such a tough thing, but looking at it this way, if your successful and fingers crossed this round is going to be your round, the price difference will be a drop in the ocean over the cost of a lifetime of a little person, cos wow they look expensive little things lol!! It’s such an emotional journey, taking cost out of it I would go with what feels right, but that’s just me, fingers and toes crossed for you though hunny x x
Yes at mine 80% of the time I just have to leave a message. They are very good at phoning back though, and I'm perfectly happy with them otherwise. I can understand the nurses being busy in appointments, but can't really understand why reception don't answer!
Haha! Yes! It happens more importantly when you're waiting for your dates of transfer. Yes! I just applied for an IVF last month and still didn't get a confirmation call from my clinic. So, yeah! If I knew it will be this late, I'd have tried earlier. Yeah! So, anyway! But, I still know that my dates will be in July. So, you can just sit while being hopeful. Anyway! Sending you all ladies a lot of baby dust. xx
My clinic was pretty good, but midwife units are also like this. Take hours to get back to me sometimes - often have to follow up. My community midwife seems the worst, but don't know if that's just gp reception. Ps. You seem to have a lot of those blatant advertising responses to this post, hope you can filter them out!! So annoying! 😒
Im glad your clinic was good hunny, I wonder if there’s much difference between private and NHS, it could be because were NHS. I know the advertising is ridiculous, how stupid do they think we are, as if anyone is ever going to contact them, I just ignore them, trying to pray on vulnerability is pretty disgusting x x x
Yeah my first clinic was NHS and not as good at responding as second (private) clinic I'd admit. The spammers drive me mad - aside from preying on vulnerable people, they are often also quite rude and negative. I just report them now. Hope you're doing OK xx
I thought that may be the case, I suppose there wanting to keep hold of your money so provide better customer service lol! Yes I’m all good thank you, I find with this journey you either seem to be having a good couple of weeks or a bad couple of weeks, all good at the moment ❤️ x x x
I’m using the private patient function of an NHS hospital. So in theory you always Phone the private patient office and they sort out your query or pass it to someone who can. I sometimes get through to them on the first try but more often than not it takes 2 or 3 goes. If they don’t answer then it goes through to one of the consultants’ secretaries who takes a message but they never ring me back so I have stopped leaving them. Having said that, the one time I sent an email they got back to me pretty quickly and after one scan one of the ANPs gave me a mobile no to text if I had any questions and she got back to me really quickly (I have seen loads of ANPs and only 1 has ever done this). I didn’t have any cause to contact them during my NHS round so not sure how that experience would have differed. It is incredibly annoying though especially when you’re phoning at work and trying to find somewhere quiet to have a conversation so I feel your frustration.
