Anyone else starting long protocol this week???

Just wondering if anyone else was starting on long protocol this week? I’m two tablets in and in all honesty it really doesn’t seem real and I don’t think it will do until the injections start in a fortnight! I’ve been trying to listen to the mindful IVF App, but keep falling asleep before I get to the end 🤣. Not really sure how I’m feeling about the whole thing today a lot more chilled than I thought I’d be about the process starting. A little stressed that I have to do my first ever injection away from home as I have to be away with work so trying not let that buildup into a bigger deal than it really is, but just feel a bit numb about it all today x x x

Oh Hun I don’t envy you starting straight off on the injections, how are you feeling about them? I’m on norethisterone tablets for the next 10 days with a few days break and don’t start the menopur until the 21st. Have they given you all your scan dates yet? If it all goes to plan EC is 3rd September which feels forever away!! Fingers crossed it all goes well for you Hunny x x x

Yes my potential EC is 7th September so a few days after yours.

I’m a bit apprehensive about the injections but once I get the first one done I should be fine.

Hi hunny how did the first injection go? I’m only 3 days in to Noriethisterine and I look like a puffa fish already, it’s not a good look 🤣 x x

It’s horrible isn’t I didn’t realise the bloating would happen so soon and I’m unbelievably hungry and just tea trying to stick to my normal food intake so I don’t turn into a blob 🤣 x x

They are being delivered tomorrow. I was given my meds schedule yesterday. It looks intense. Got my appointment for scan/scratch and injection training next Wednesday can't say I'm looking forward to it x

I never got an injection lesson they just told us to look at a video online!! It is a bit overwhelming when you see it all but I’ve wrote it down in a diary day by day just so I don’t forget anything especially when you start taking more than one drug per day and different amounts!! That’s made me a bit more chilled about it x x

Hi huni. I'm starting the long protocol soon. I have my 2nd nurse appointment on Monday to sign paperwork. How long after that did u start the treatment xx

Hi Hun, I started 8 weeks after signing and has my meds delivered 4 weeks before it started but each clinic is different so hopefully you won’t have to wait long x x x
