Egg collection done

What did you do on your bank holiday Monday? Well, I went and had egg collection haha, life is strange and unpredictable isn't it? There's things I never thought if say and that one of them. It wasn't as bad as I feared and was over pretty quickly. They collected 9 eggs so I'm hoping that they are of a decent quality and they fertilise and survive over the next 5 days. I'm now relaxing and have the wait to get the call tomorrow, while I will be at work, to see how many embryos we have so hopefully the news doesn't start me off crying, which is very easily done these days! Good luck. I'm really happy with 9, I was scanned on Friday and they said I had 6 so the little ones they were discounted had caught up. EC isn't so bad, the drugs they give you really do relax you xx

Hi Box01,

I went for egg collection today as well. Are you in any pain? I’m in agony, painkillers not helping 🙈. To date I’ve had 4 gynae surgeries so I think they are coming back to bite me in the butt.

They collected 16 eggs from me, I have no clue what the quality of the eggs are but like you I will find out tomorrow. I’m not that hopeful because of my age. All i need is 2/3 decent quality eggs to fertilise.

Hey there, my stomach is a bit tender and I'm tired but thankfully that's it. Have you tried a hot water bottle, or maybe a hot bath to try and appease the pain a bit. Great news that they collected 16 eggs, you've got a great chance of some good ones and some being fertilised. Good luck xx
