Is anyone else’s clinic closed Monday? I’ve been rung today and I have my scan to see if I’ll be ready for egg collection on Monday, but cause my clinic is closed I’ll have to travel to Cardiff for it. Plus I will have to transfer my hubby’s frozen sperm myself because the courier said they’ve been given to short notice. I’m hoping it won’t come to that and I’ll have the egg collection Wednesday instead, so that worries me on how long I’ve been on injections for (started 26/4/18) and if I’ll ovulate etc? Any advice would be greatly appreciated xx

Clinic closed bank holiday 😩
No experience re closed clinics. You shouldn’t ovulate as either you will be on downregulation injections (eg buserelin) or you would have had something like Prostap. Which injections did you start on 26th April? Downregulation or stimulation as sounds like you may be on a long day protocol.
I’m on buserelin and bemfola, thank you for putting my mind at rest. I was on short protocol last time so this long protocol seems like it’s gone on forever. But we are all warriors in what we go through x
No problems- one of the doctors was kind enough to actually explain what the buserelin was doing otherwise I would have no clue! I ended being on bemfola (&menopur for parts of it) for over two weeks- my clinic does not do collections on a weekend (but they do transfers-maybe your clinic is the same). Wishing you lots of luck and many good quality eggies! Xxx
Awww thank you luv. Good luck to you in where your cycle is xx
My clinic in Cardiff was open on bank holiday Monday as I went in for a scan during my injection week! Hope everything works out for you 🤞 x
Sorry, i'm based in Cardiff. The clinic used to be closed on bank holidays but fairly recently the team agreed to open it to prevent all of the stress of delaying transfers etc, exactly as your experiencing now!
I can only imagine how stressful this must be for you!
It is a bit stressful luv. I was originally up there but they ended up closing the theatre and got everything transferred down Port Talbot so it’s like we’re going backwards 🤦🏻♀️ are you in the hospital then? x
