Hi all,

Had some happy news last week and found out I’m actually expecting! They thought about 5 weeks last week when they scanned me.

Since the weekend I have been feeling pretty awful and wondering if anyone has an tips for dealing with morning sickness? Not being physically sick just feeling really sick for most of the day.

Emma

I have exactly the same.. the feeling meh kicked in at 6 weeks. I find snacking through out the day helps. I got myself wrist bands and they also eased it for me. ensure that your blood sugars dont drop.. this is making me really nauseous and I think I faint, I will have dates then. really helps. by the ones in the asian stores as there are none of thsi extra stuff in there. Ginger biscuits I have been told. / mint tea .. hmm and drink much

best of luck.

and also congrats to the pregnancy :)

Hi Emz2811. Some of my ladies find eating a cream cracker or ginger biscuit before they get up helps. Try some ginger or lemon tea, and see if you can eat something little and often until it passes. Not long until your next scan, when you will see the heartbeat - that will cheer you up! Thinking of you. Diane

Thanks everyone will definitely try some of these out! 7 week confirmation scan next week so that’ll make it worth it ☺️

No tips but congratulations xx

Eating earlier is helping me but there’s no magic cure. I’ve also stopped my pregnacare max as it made me worse, just taking the tiny folic acid tablets.

Eat before you get out of bed...a ginger biscuit or cracker...repeat every 3 hours until it subsides.

Oh dear, a cracker at 06:30 doesn’t sound appealing haha I’ll definitely give it a go though if it works!

Bless you try to eat little and often just whatever you fancy and avoid what you don't keep sipping water or lemonade the main thing is to take it slowly potter don't rush and try to keep cool as you may feel worse if over heating .Congratulations and hope the sickness settles down soon for you x
