Starting tomorrow; what’s your experience of your protocol?

Anyone starting taking norethisterone tomorrow?

I’m interested to learn about other people’s protocols. I’m starting menpur at 150IU on the 6th of June. Then cetrotide at 25mg on the 11th of June. I’m on the short protocol as I have unexplained infertility and polycystic ovaries I’m 35 and have an under active thyroid.

Has anyone been on a simile protocol? What was your experience? Xx

Hi JHenderson,

I had similar protocol last year June. Our dates are a Bit similar, I started stimulation on the 22nd of June, menstruation started 3 days after I stopped taking Norethisterone.

Injection wise, same IU as you, had no issues at all. Produced so many follicles, they were over 56 in number but at egg collection doctor only aspirated big follicles and left the rest. We had 17 eggs, 14 fertilized, 7 frozen embryos. Feel free to ask me questions.

That’s a lot of eggs. How did the drugs make you feel? I’m concerned that I’m going to turn into a mad woman. C

I was perfectly normal 😊. According to my husband I became a "nag nag" person after I got a bfp.

These hormones affect is in different ways, let's hope it goes well with your body.

Hi, I have PCOS and an underactive thyroid. I’m 30 and my partner is 36. I had my egg transfer yesterday - this is our first round with ICSI .

I had 5 days of menopur, 3 days with cetrotide at the same time and then the trigger injection on day 11. Had my egg collection Monday and they only retrieved two eggs but they both fertilised and become blastocysts , now it’s just the two week wait for us 🤞🤞

Good luck of the tww! Why did you opt for ICSI, if you don’t mind me asking. We ticked the box for the clinic to perform ICSI if my eggs and oh sperm don’t come together. X

We didn’t opt for it, it was whst the clinic told us we needed. We are private so I’m not sure if that makes a difference ? X
