Mr Emu is sleeping so I daren’t wake him to tell him I now know that the infamous ‘Jizz Day’ is on Monday...! Taking matters in to his own hand has been an amusing topic of conversation this time round since we were faced with potential issues there after no eggs fertilised in February. This means our transfer will be Thursday.
I’d best start packing! After I’ve been to A&E... 🙈 I can strongly advise that running down the corridors at work - in wedges - is not the wisest of moves. My ankle is bruised and swollen and I had pins and needles last night but they seem to be less this morning just throbbing a little. Surely I’d know if I’d broken it?!?!
Anyway, as a precaution Mr Emu is going to throw me out of the car (probably quite literally as he gets so mad with me for being clumsy) at Leeds A&E this morning on his was to taking his mum to chemotherapy. He’s also more or less thrown my wedges in the bin. I debated telling Mr Yorkshire how much they cost in hope that he’d think twice... but I decided against that as he shouted (lovingly and worryingly) “what happens if you can’t fly?! I’m not going to Cyprus on my own for a w*nk!”

Aww no!!! I hope you haven't broken it, maybe there's some nerve damage due to the pins and needles! I've broken bones in my tibia plateau before and torn ligaments in my other knee and I wasn't able to stand on my leg at all. So hopefully you haven't caused too much damage! Good luck xx
Sounds like you and Mr Emu had similar conversations to me and my OH about their part in this process. Sometimes you have to see the funny side of things to help you cope.
So sorry about your ankle, and the loss of your wedges!! I do hope it’s feeling better and it’s nothing serious. Maker sure you rest it! Also hope Mr Emu’s Mums ok. Such a hard thing to deal with on top of everything thing else you have going on.xxxc

Dear MrsEmu can you please try to have a few days now where you are super careful and don’t damage anything else? I’m with your hubbie, it would be very bad news if you couldn’t fly! (Though I would also rescue those wedges, but put them at the back of the wardrobe till he’s forgotten about them and then get them out again later in the summer).
Wishing you all the best at the hospital- hopefully it’s just a bruise. If it’s an avulsion fracture and they try to give you a boot, you could always take a leaf out of my husband’s book and completely ignore them... he just refused to wear one and it seemed to heal just fine after a similar sounding accident...
Ps just realised I made it sound like hubbie was wearing wedges. He wasn’t. His accident was in trainers and involved uneven ground. He won’t thank me for implying he wears girls’ shoes... 😂

Hello, can I ask about the issues you had with no eggs being fertiliised, my OH is giving his sample on Monday (wanking in a cup in public as he refers to it ) but We had some dodgy results before and I’m terrified we won’t get any eggs fertilised, we are using An egg donor and it’s cost us our life Savings’s so it’s our only chance. Did your clinic use ICSI? Because my doc says that makes a difference but I’m a lot confused, thanks xxx
My husbands sperm was described as slightly lazy but the issue really is my eggs mostly. So we went for donor egg with icsi. Last time the sperm fertilised 10 out of 15 eggs but only two made it to day 3. So when they used some sperm and none fertilised but the other half of the batch did it was clear something wasn’t right. So we’ll see what happens this time x
Ha ha, this made me laugh! The timed w*nk is always hilarious...'do it today, but it has to be before 1pm then DON'T do it for 3 days!'. Anyone would think we're all a bunch of lunatics! W*nking has also been a source of hilarity for the last 4 months in our house as we're on a sex ban for fear of upsetting the babies (OH is convinced they will be poked and will not back down). I think if we didn't laugh we'd cry 😆
It’s a bit weird this time as Mr Emu was instructed to do the deed every day for a week leading up to Monday! Every day! At least it was easy to understand! x
Ohhhh nooo, what are you like, really hope your foot is ok sounds like you could have tore ligaments that's extremely painful I did it years ago and couldn't walk on it.
Get those wedges back somehow Mrs and remember not to run in them.
