So 6 months after my initial referral, I am going to see the Nurse at Glasgow Royal (NHS). The information sheet says they will take bloods and swabs and If I can't make the appointment I may be put at the back of the list. I thought all is fine I can attend, but have only just realised my period is due around that day. I presume swabs are internal therefore I can't keep my appointment. I really don't want to delay. Any advice ?

Hi, I would not worry at all about having your period at your first appointment. I am sure it happens a lot. I am currently at the GRI and injecting this week. They lost my swabs taken on my first appointment so I did them again on the 2nd appointment and it made no difference whatsoever. Good Luck x

Hi Eeek. Swabs can be taken another time, so try not to worry. Hope all goes well for you, and can you all reply by Private Message if mentioning clinic names, doctors or products. May thanks. Diane
