Hi Montgomery2. Clinics have their own way of doing this, but often, you need to phone your clinic nurse or co-ordinator on the first working day after Day 1 of your period. He/she will then advise you when to start using the ovulation kit or arrange daily blood tests to detect ovulation. You will have an ultrasound to confirm the development of your follicles. The transfer of the embryos is usually timed for two or three days after ovulation, depending on the age and development of your frozen embryos. On average 2 out of 3 embryos successfully thaw. On the day of transfer you then phone the clinic to check if the embryo/s have survived the thawing process before being admitted to the clinic/hospital. The embryos will be transferred to your womb in the same way as a fresh transfer. You will usually need to use progesterone medication after your embryo transfer. Hope that helps and good luck! Diane

Im currently doing a natural cycle FET. I phoned the clinic on day one, my clinic do an USS on day 9 (today). The clinic were worried i would be due for transfer over a weekend as folicle was large so i am having a trigger shot (ovitrelle) tomorrow and FET monday! I also started progesterone today until after OTD.

I did a natural FET and found this so much eaiser than the ivf. Was just testing lots for ovulation from day 9-10 depending on how long ur cycle is. Then day of ovulation they scan u to check lining and folicles and then if all good will transfer 5days after. For me felt better and less stressful. Best wishes with it☺️🙌🏻

I’m doing a natural FET this month, it does worry me a bit mainly cause I have no control over it but I’m going with my consultants suggestion. I’m got my scan on Monday to see if there’s a dominant follicle 🤞 good luck for when you start x

I’m just on my 2ww after my first natural fet. I had a scan on day 11, then every other day to check I had a lead follicle, when it got big enough I tested for ovulation at home, transfer was 6 days after! The only problem I experienced is I ovulated late at day 21 instead of day 18 but everything still went ahead! I’m also using cyclogest. Only 4dp5dt but so far so good!x
