Hello, I'm 10 weeks pregnant via icsi and stopped taking progesterone pessaries about 5 days ago. I've discovered a small hard lump on my right breast near my cleavage which feels the size of maybe half a pea. I can feel it more when I'm lying on my left side and I feel the inner side of my right breast. I'm worried it might be you know what then my mind is working over time although I realise it could be nothing. Has anyone had a similar thing as I'm also wondering whether it's to do with the medication?

Small lump on right breast near cleavage?
Hi Kathy_t. Please get it checked out by your GP. not usually a side effect of fertility treatment. Diane
Diane, I have a planned Obstetrics appointment on the 21st April and ive just checked my doctors online booking system and they don't have an appointment til the 19th anyway. My question is, can an obstetrician check breasts?
If you ring your doctors they are likely to fit you in before the appointments they put up online for something like that x
Hi Kathy. I agree with hydromermaid- call your GP tomorrow morning and explain what it is for. I am sure that they will fit you in earlier. The obstetrician may end up asking you to see your GP especially if the hospital doesn’t have a breast team and not all obstetricians are trained in breast examinations. Good luck and let us know how you get on. Xxx
I’ve had a similar thing, but not related to ivf. It turned out to be a cyst (also about the size of a pea, and it could be moved a cm or so when pushed). Had to have a couple of biopsies and all was fine. This was about 10 years ago and it’s still there - wish I had it taken out then in hindsight! But all v benign!
Try not to worry..it could be a blocked milk duct. Cyst..all easily remidied. But it needs checking out. Congrats on your pregnancy 😀
I had this when my endometriosis was flared and I had a 13cm endometrioma on my right ovary. I went to Docs immediately and she organised appt for mammogram and scans etc with specialist. He said all fine not cancerous lump. It’s gone now so I’m guessing it was to do with all the hormone out of balance as my boobs were also swollen and my skin was breaking out. You have a lot of hormone changes obviously so could be to do with that but get to see specialist ASAP.
Hello, definitely go and get it checked out, but to try and ease your concern I had a small lump in my armpit which I was concerned about. It's still there and sore when I touch it. I went and got it checked out with my local GP who said for me to come back in a few weeks but I ended up go to a private hospital to make sure and I had it checked and scanned and it was all fine. They said it could have been from the additional hormones wondering around my body. Good luck, I'm sure it will nothing serious xx
Hello, this ended up being nothing and went away if it's own accord thankfully! Xx
