Received the copies sent by my fertility specialist; need to sort my endometriosis out πŸ’

β€’9 Replies

Hi ladies and gents.

Happy Easter, I hope that you are all enjoying the bank holiday weekend 😊

As I said i received copies of the letters which have given me a different perspective on things.

Basically the endometriosis although β€œ fairly superficial β€œ is β€œall over my rectum β€œ and is β€œ very symptomatic endometriosis β€œ according to my fertility specialist in the referral letter.

It concerns me it has spread so much ; right now I don’t think my body is healthy enough to accommodate a pregnancy; the symptoms are of quite a serious nature and I can’t think they would be good fir a pregnancy.I know he said no higher chance of a miscarriage, but I can’t help but wonder if my endometriosis left there last time played a part in my loss. That could be paranoia; but so far my gut instincts have all been proved right πŸ˜’ my baby was due this Thursday and perhaps its hit me hard. πŸ’”

I am so lucky and happy to get a referral to an endometriosis specialist and I know many ladies really struggle to get one. There are rare. Perhaps if I sort this endometriosis sorted properly ( yeah I know it grows back ) I’ll be giving the pregnancy a much better chance 🐣 hopefully the wait won’t be stupidly longπŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

Good luck to those trying/ having treatment/ early pregnant ; thoughts are with you all xoxo πŸ’

Hi my experience was. In preparation for IVF my Endo needed to be calmed down, A cyst to be removed. All of this took 15 mths then a waiting period to join IVF program, I had been on the Zoladex for the 18 mths. Once on the program I was put on the shut down drug, taken off Zoladex, then put on the drug to get my ovaries making eggs. The whole process took 8 weeks and I was pregnant for a short time but was allergic to tablets afterwards and bore down in til I bled. I was also unwell during the previous 2 wks as was after woman. There were 11 of us on this. 1 stayed pregnant. 1 had done IVF 6 times previous and now had no eggs left. 4 had eggs to try again. The rest were told perhaps try again from the beginning. I found the medical and physiologic experience something I couldn't go through again. It was 8ths before I felt reasonable as my Endometriosis had enjoyed the high Hormones during the treatment. I freezed my eggs and finally decided to donate them.

Best wishes J x

The drugs I couldn't cope with during the IVF. I also had the expectation of my in-laws. I am glad I tried it or I always would have questioned myself. I hoped it would work for their sakes. I have no regrets. As things have worked out I am alone now. My Endo is still bad, I don't think these past few years I could have managed children on my own, mentally or financial since he walked out. I have Nephews as young adults and my sister's at a lose end since her partner died at 50 of a rare blood disorder. I feel when I was 27 life seemed very straight forward, I planned everything as I thought. As I've got older I've realises that life isn't like that. We have to live in the moment, enjoy the love we have and take the best of positive thinking. x
