Day 10 after a 5 day transfer. Feel like my period is on it's way and feeling very bloated!

Hi. I'm on day 10 after a 5 day transfer. I'm feeling very bloated today and my abdomen area feels swollen and sensitive to touch. I've also been getting the odd cramping pain today which makes me think my period is on it's way, I would also be due around this time. Can anyone shed any light on the symptoms I am having?

When did the cramping pains start and are they on and off? I felt like that on day 3... bad period like cramps they lasted for maybe 24 hours and have now just disappeared. I'm only on day four... and round one of ivf so I can't offer 5gat much advice. Have you done a pregnsncy test at all or are you going to stick it out for the next couple of days? I'm sure you're fine...the symptoms from person to person vary so much xx

Hi again Bexy79! They started earlier this afternoon and are on and off. I've not had any cramps since Thursday but today I feel like my period could be trying to make an appearance and my abdomen area is sicking out I'm that bloated. Only time will tell, also I'll be waiting till my test date.

Aah of course we spoke earlier... poor you are you ok? These symptoms are scary... part of you wants to believe these are good signs and the other fears the worst... and the problem is sometimes both have similar symptoms. It's all so confusing... I hope hope you get a positive result xxx

I know, it was just I was having a shower before and thought my abdomen area seems bloated. When I then got out the shower, I had cramping pains which really did feel like my period was on it's way.

Early pregnancy feels like your period is coming. The drugs you are on can make you feel like this too. I really believe you just can’t know until you test. I feel your pain, I’m also in my 2ww and over-analysing everything!

Are you bloated all the time!! My stomach starts off ok in the morning and gets worse as the day goes on!! By night I actually look pregnant xx

Yes, I feel fine in the morning but as the day goes on, it gets bigger. Are you on your two week wait too?

When are you due to test? I was to test on 10days post transfer but actually tested a few days early.

Hi Sophie. I'm now 9dp5dt but tested at 6 days... naughty i know but I was having twinge & cramps. Mine was a BFP! Today I feel like af is coming but tested this morning and still bfp. So please don't fret, the symptoms annoyingly are the same.

Awww that's fantastic news, congratulations!!! I've been having twinges since two days after the transfer and they have kind of eased off now but the cramping has took over. My boobs are also sore again, this started to wear off but it's come back. My test day is Tuesday 🤞

It’s such a tense time and as others have said symptoms are similar either way and all you want is a clue either way. Hang in there Tuesday is so near now and I’ve got my fingers crossed for you.

Hi Sophie, sorry your feeling uncomfortable. Honestly the symptoms could be from pregnancy or progesterone as well because they are all quite similar. I know it’s hard but hang in there. Best of luck to you xx
