Hypothyroid and fertility

Hey ladies I've recently had my thyroid checked and it appears I have an under active thyroid and been prescribed thyroxin. My consultant says there is a link between hypothyroidism and infertility just wondered if anyone else has experienced this and the outcome? Thanks xx

Hi there. My thyroid is slightly under active too. Apparently studies show that a thyroid level under 2.5 is best for conception and my hospital won’t do round of IVF until it is 2.5 or under. I’m on thyroxin too and getting blood test this week to see if my treatment is going ahead this cycle! This is my first round, hoping for a positive outcome! Xx

Mine was a bit underactive at 4.69 and have been prescribed Levothyroxine 50mcg. Just had a repeat blood done test 4 weeks later and its dropping, not at 2.72 . Ideally its meant to be under 2.5 for pregnancy.xx

Hi, I was diagnosed with an under active thyroid in November 2016. Levels have been up and down since taking Levothyroxine but finally over the last few months has been under 2.5 so can now start IVF treatment this cycle 🤞... Best of luck to you all and sending baby dust ✨😘
