Hey Ladies!
I was jut wondering if anyone has had this Borrelia infection test done or do you know anything about it? I e-mailed a clinic to find out about NK cells test (since my DR is not interested in doing the test, I thought I would find out about doing it on my own) and the clinic e-mailed me back with all the info and suggested I do the Borrelia infection test too. Never heard of this, have you?

They didnt give me any information on it, they just said they suggest I do the test together with the NK cells test. I have turned to my best friend google and it says its associated with lyme disease but im not quite sure what this has to do with infertility. Not too clued up with this...

If not I don't see the need? Maybe go back and ask them if they have you mixed up with someone else?

It's certainly a new one. But there is so much out there. Sometimes I think all it does is make us all more stressed. Who knows. There are now some theories that nk cells change naturally each month and therefore not so much in that. But others swear by it. Who knows. At the end of the day maybe lots of things have nothing to do with it but put our minds at ease thereby reducing our stress and then having positive results. Xx
Yup I agree with you. And unfortunately out of pure desperation we will do absolutely anything just to cross it off the list and in hope that it will “fix” the problem and sometimes all it does it stress us out more. Arrrggg just wish we had all the answers...
One day. In the mean time we will plough on and get the dream some day somehow xx

Hi JCJM. It's to check for Lyme's Disease, or Borrelia infection. I know it by borreliosis. It's an infectious tick, so maybe they think you have it?? Hope I'm right and not confusing you further. Diane
Thanks so much for your reply DianeArnold. That is kinda what I thought from what I have read from google. But I am rather confused as I only e-mailed the clinic to ask if they do they NK cells testing and they replied saying yes and they suggest I do this Borrelia test too. I was wondering what it had to do with Infertility, thought it was somowhow linked since they suggest that I do it. All they know about me is that I have had 2 failed IVF cycles. As previously suggested, maybe they have just confused me with someone else. So strange. But thanks anyway 😁
Hi JCJM. It’s strange. I’ve never known it be associated with fertility problems. I think you just need to get it clarified as to what and why they want to test you for this, which I’m sure you will do anyway. Would you PM me in confidence when you find out please.
